Why does the video on the bottom have the voice of a less-comprehensible guy talking over the actual interviewee who is actually more understandable? It's like that clip of the guy who's all 'WHY ARE THEY PUTTING SUBTITLES ON ME? I AM SPEAKING PERFECT ENGLISH' XD.

However, they are in a slew of the mod-mods that have come out since (and before) development started. FFH has 19 civs some have 30 with equally amazing flavour.

How to install, ask on civfanatics.com. Basically, double click the file and go... (Put it in Firaxis Games\Civilization 4 folder\Beyond the Sword\Mods) and if you have trouble with that contact your local computer savvy person.

"Connecting a series of games and communities within steam together." I wish someone would do this in a technical and not just metaphorical way (IDK like Valve or someone) and I could play a round of Good-But-Abandoned-Source-Mod-X and then the server switches to DE_dust to a TF2 map to Empires to Age of Chivalry followed by PvK, RnL Smashball Whatever you catch my drift...

Minor spoiler. You probably have not seen every ending. If you type nothing, and you keep running into things, you limit Stanley's flying possibilities. But if you have the impulse, one, oh! One can be a Free man! Do no.t clip your wings!

42 7.
Just noticed that. Though probably a gap in intent and interpretation.

Quote:"It’s going to be very difficult for people to mod the game, because of the nature of the set up of levels, of the destruction and all those things… it’s quite tricky. So we think it’s going to be too big of a challenge for people to make a mod. "
What a troll. He may as well be daring people to mod it. In my modding history I got told "can't do that" only to "do that" so many times...
Probably just a brilliant cost cutting measure: flame the modders and incite them to build their own mod-tools out of raeg.

RE: Open Source: Doing so would not be in their financial interests. A sequel is in the works.
Chivalrythegame.com
If their efforts fall apart on this, I too will petition for open source AgeoC. Chivalry should be out sooner or later though.
To the comments that this mod is not well made... it is very well made. Test the animation timings on a LAN, not over the net with 250 ms combined latency, or even 80.
The animations are not perfect - the source engine has limited support for melee.
See: Crowbar - damage is one point and pretty sure damage is delivered right when you hit fire.
PvK - earlier and possibly current versions of Pirates Vikings and Knighs (had?) have the same issue, and it is more pronounced with their more complicated Melee weapons than with the crowbar. That being said its developers might have borrowed the lessons learned by the Age of Chivalry team by now.
For truly terrible melée in a source mod, see: empiresmod.com.
Empires is still my favourite source-mod-no, game- though...

To the developpers
Heh, I always felt that ES's learning curve was low. Its quite arcadey. In fact, I've always wanted to see an Empires-like mode - well, actually the end result would be Homeworld 2 meets First Person but w/e...
Maybe their team could give you assistance in doing that in exchange for due credit.
Also, Team Chivalry has recently taken a very complicated objective based game and made it fool-proof (though not 'toal n00b' proof) with a redone interface and a few simple tweaks like HUD indicators for objectives (optional of course). Team Chivalry also likes to blog alot.

I am not familiar with other mod teams or communities. I can't speak for how proprietary or Dev-god complex ridden either team is, and both Empires and Age of Chivalry have their balance detractors. Mostly Empires. Maybe Source modders should have a Balanace symposium. :P
Anyway, E.S. completes my trio of habitual source games, so gratz on that...
(Probably why I want to see both Empires of Chivalry and Empires in Space, but seriously. 1st class melee combat meets an FPS/RTS combo, and then FREAKIN' HOMEWORLD 2 WHERE YOU CAN PLAY AS THE GRUNTS!?!?)

The Kotor sides are so professional now. Nice work. I also like the 3rd era idea and hopefully we'll get to see SWBF style preview movies - Ace A.5.
