Yeah its certainly something we have discussed but the problem again is man power, we simply dont have the resources of a huge game studio to do this. It would contradict the episodic approach we are taking to the game as well. We have to keep it simple, functional and enjoyable. :) thank you for the input

I would have loved to create a GTA style free roaming game too but its just not feasible, The cryengine cant handle huge *** maps so we would have needed loading sequences between sections, Also and more critical we just dont have enough man power to create an open world game :(

Its not dead, The technical issues Wolvesrdogs speaks of is my lack of a PC at the moment, or well for the last few months, I moved country and could not bring my rig along but since I am going home at the end of July and driving back to Deutschland I will bring my PC with me so Active development will begin again, Expect an announcement mid August on the Games status and future progress, Sorry and thank you for the interest.

Yes most definitely going to be free to play to avoid any copyright infringements that Warner can bring against us. I am glad you like the progress so far and i hope the eventual end product will be to your liking.

With the way Cry Is setup with Flow graph that should be easy enough, Create a few basic Filters to give that similar Desaturated Effect that we relate to the show itself, level could be dropped slightly too, This level u see in the pics will probably be at night, or twilight, Might knock the sun out of it and make it over cast like it was in the show for Dead in the water

Yeah kinda still in the Roughing out stages here, TOD is way way off I just use that for Dev so i can actually see where im placing stuff, Gonna sort all that out once i have the blocking done :)

Yeah we will be taking an episodic approach similar to what telltale Games is doing with the Walking Dead. We will start with a tech demo based off the third Episode in Season 1 "Dead in the water" It has an interesting plot that fits in with show. Not going to give too much away :) After that we will pursue a storyline that permeates the Supernatural Universe using our own characters and stories.

Yeah i purposefully havent set the Moddb page up until we had some actual real authentic custom stuff to show :P Too many mods/games are just ideas with no driving force behind them and hence they die :/ So far things are going well, taking calculated steps to ensure the game is a success :D

Episodic seems like a good marketing strategy for a mod as it will keep the fans interested and assured that the mod is complete :P ofc keep the best content for the last episode

@jokerme Invest some time into XSI i use a few packages and ive found it the easiest by far :P

Concerning the tutorial man WOW... What more can i say Wow great job very well laid out, clear concise and to the point Well done.

Maybe. You can do the exact same thing in most top end 3D packages. Maya is used alot for modeling because the workflow works well with ZBrush. Its really Artist preference at the end of the day. XSI Ftw

Yeah i would have said that you shouldnt switch from XSI to Maya like that. Just use a professional version of XSI since you are already familiar with the enviorment and you models are in that format not to mention XSI is still in my opinion the best concerning Moding for HL2 :P

Why cant you all just get along and do whats Best for the Mod? I mean Potteh might be a douche but hes obviously done alot of work.. right? otherwise you wouldn't declare the mod dead once he withdrew. I dunno its not my place to say but can you like not negotiate an agreement and do whats best for the Mod?
