The new patch is available if you play with Desura. I'm currently editing the stand-alone and will submit it for approval in the next few hours so should be available tomorrow.

However, if you play with the Desura Software you still need to go to Desura/Common/Hoops Manager, right click on the folder and give yourself Modify permission. Otherwise the game can't create a SAVE game in its folder...

There was a missed file in the installation, which prevented people from saving their game. This will be fixed when the new file is approved by an admin. Or you can download the file from hoopsmanager.net to play right away.

it's now available on the game website, so you can download it from there - just go to Download. it takes some time before an admin checks it here

OK. So - the next patch will remove the registration from the website, if you play through Desura. However, you need to give MODIFY permissions to the game folder (usually Desura/Common/Hoops Manager) to be able to save your games. Do this by right-clicking on the Hoops Manager folder, go to Security, then click on your User, and click Modify.

If you use the Stand-Alone download you will not have this problem.

If you downloaded the game yesterday as a standalone and got an Invalid Password error - please login IN THE WEBSITE again. It should ask you to retype your password, and you should be able to play the game after that. If it doesn't work, leave me a message here or somewhere on the game's website and I'll fix it.

I will fix the Desura download later today or tomorrow, when I have time!

I know this whole registration/login is a bit frustrating, but I put some work into the game, and I just want to know how many people play it, there is no other reason for that. And it also gives you a high score list, an opportunity to play the game from anywhere (because your saved games are stored online), so it's not that bad, once I make it work... :D

I found the issue with Desura, I will work on a patch and release it ASAP. :) If it gives you an invalid handle error - please go to the game folder and edit file permissions - allow MODIFY for Creator Owner and User.

This game brings memories of Sensible Soccer... I've spent countless hours playing that game...
