Hey everyone, please keep in mind that this was a student project and was only under production for about 3.5 months (the other 1.5 was design). Unfortunately, during development we did not have the resources to test on very many types of hardware. If you do run into anything that doesn't seem normal, please leave us a detailed breakdown of the problem and how to reproduce (if known). Could you explain the issue further with a bit more information?
Just hearing that people actually enjoy the game we worked so hard on is rewarding enough for me. Nostalgia factor is a bonus!

We pulled a lot of inspiration for this game from Dead Space.
The shield stays for a specified period of time. It reflects all projectiles, stuns the swarmers, as well stuns the tank so that you have time to get behind him to shoot him in the back (his weakness). As you reflect damage, you gain charges (the dots on the bottom right of the HUD), once that is full you get a power shot which instantly kills everything in its path.
Yes it will be free to download in February. It was mostly inspired by Dead Space and Metroid. Thanks for checking it out!
