It's far from that simple. These are 3D modeled objects that require shadow volume objects in XSI. Been modding this game for almost 20 years now.
Thanks!
All the bugs in 1.99 have been fixed, so now I'm just working on expanding Old Republic and First Order Rises eras to a few more maps. I also have three new maps added for 2.0 and they're 100% ready.
Thank you! Made my day!
This is awesome! Glad to see the PS2 finally getting some representation here on ModDB!
The timer issue was an oversight by me, but I probably won't patch it. I'm finishing up my last few maps and then mostly retiring from modding Battlefront.
Are you using the CD, DVD, GoG, Steam or Classic Collection version of the game? What language do you play the game in? It's localized in all but Japanese, but I get the comment a lot that certain things have names missing.
I'm trying to narrow down where the problem might be as I never get localization issues reported by my beta testers. They're all either US or UK English players on the GoG version.
RTX is specific to Nvidia graphics chip unfortunately. It will not work with AMD.
Thanks! And funny you should mention Yavin CTF, as Smithwillsuffice converted the Jedi Outcast version Indiedb.com
You're making feel old! LOL
That would be up to the SWBF3 Legacy team, as I only have permission to use the two maps I added. I will say that since this has to run at original Xbox levels of detail we would be quite limited as to what we could do. Space to ground would probably not be possible.
That said I have no plans to port any additional Legacy maps. There are a few additional maps planned for the 2.0 release, but they are original works or ports by me.
Thanks much for your kind words!
No plans at all to do that, sorry. Can't make exceptions for every situation unfortunately. It's a lot of work.
Absolutely love this. I had trouble with 3.2 and so recently played through JK basically stock. Looking forward to using this on my next playthrough. One minor complaint is that Kyle appears to have a five head (big forehead).
No. The game was never released on consoles that supported this kind of shadows and lighting. That's part of the reason I started this port.
Thanks! You can find a list of where to play the First Order Rises eras in the user manual linked in the article post. It's also here: Docs.google.com
Click on the MAPS tab at the bottom. Any map were CONQUEST, FOR is blue is available in First Order Rises.
The plan is to add it to at least a few more maps for version 2.0, once we're out of beta
Desolation Station hasn't been released yet. I was given permission from the SWBF3 Legacy team to include it. Ord Ibanna should be in the SWBF Conversion Pack mod.
This is top-shelf stuff!
It's really just for people who love Xbox. If you're a PC player there's not really a reason to switch. There are a few unique features we added here, but most everything is available in one form or another on PC.
These maps are all already available on PC as individual maps
Unfortunately we reached a point where the problems were unfixable. We just don't have the tools or knowledge to take this any further and fix everything.
Correct. The Raven's Claw shows up as a prop in the D'Qar map, while the Moldy Crow can actually be flown in the Bespin Platforms map. I love Raven Software's contributions to the Dark Forces series, so I wanted to add the Raven's Claw, but the Crow will always be Kyle's ship to me.
Thanks! I always appreciate your kind words and the fact that you let me know when you find bugs. Your feedback is always appreciated. :)
When you installed it did you place the files over your original, unmodified version of Star Wars Battlefront II? It requires the original game already be installed. You'll know you installed it right if it asks you to overwrite files.
You can find most Star Wars game models that people have ripped here: Groinkick.freeforums.net
I think we'll leave it be, lads. If I swing back around to this I'll consider swapping heroes out.
I have the Imperial one ported. Look for Vindicator in my Addons.
Thanks! Yeah I have an update for it that I'm working on. It fixes some of the lowrez textures, adds shadows, and has a more rounded invisible ceiling so that you can get on top of things, but not out of the map. Watch for it in the coming weeks.
This is no different than the source files I had in the Addon section, I just accidentally put it there instead of here. If you downloaded it before then no need to download again. No changes were made.
