You're damn right, it would be a hell of a vertigo feeling then!
But we wouldn't provide digital vomit bags along with the game, sorry... ^^

Oh yeah, it would be definitely awesome!
We have been thinking to some multiplayer modes including races, building/fighting mixes but unfortunately we have not the means to do all of that right now... We hope that we will be able to do so in an hypothetical next version of the game, but we must focus on completing version 1.0 for the moment...
Hey NotteNera!
You have the time to try the demo before buying Deadlock, the discount will be available until the next version (beta) so don't rush it, make your own opinion about the game first ; )
Yup, we are currently testing the linux build trying to figure out why colours are not rendered the same way as for the windows build : /
Hi,
I'm the 3D artist on the game and I must say that I'm a huge fan of stereoscopic 3D.
Last year, I tested the first prototype with Nvidia 3D vision. A lot of modification had to be done in order to have it working. A lot of post-FX had to be removed because post-FX are 2D effects. The rendering method had to be changed (Forward rendering VS Deffered lighting), and there was also a huge problem: all Deadlock's environment is made of bright neon on dark surfaces and it means that there too much "ghosting" effect when experienced in 3D.
However, the build dedicated to the 3D I made was really fun (even with all the things removed in the rendering). Sadly, right now my 3D glasses don't work anymore (they barely worked for 6 months) and we are running out of time for those kind of things.
But as I said, I'm a huge 3D enthusiast and if there is a way to add stereoscopic 3D to the game later (it's going to need time and money), I will gladly do it.
@Stephen, thanks a lot for featuring us in your video! It's just sad that you captured some footage from the 1 year old demo : /
We are currently waiting for our new demo to be validated by Desura: hope you'll give it try because you could be really surprised about how much the game has changed : )
See you (and thanks again)!
Yep, definitely as we are using Unity!
We were quite rushing with the alpha/demo release these last days, but as soon as heat starts to cool down we will be working on Linux and Mac builds : )
In fact, you unlock each main level in Speedrun mode as soon as you complete them, so you can play them for time attack only and be ranked on leaderboards.
You can also unlock the small sections hidden within the main levels (we call them 'Sparks'), but you will have to explore a little bit to do so, and use the right power-up to gain access to them ; )
All in all there will the 5 main levels to unlock in Speedrun Mode plus Sparks that are basically (small) challenge maps.
Yeah we would really love to put some things into the game, like a multiplayer mode and a level editor... But to be honest we won't have the time/money to do so : /
About the Let's Play you saw: it depends on which level was played, their size/difficulty is increased as your progressing through the game!
Our estimation is it will take at least 2-3 hours for hardcore speedrunners to complete a 1st run, but you know, there are also leaderboards to master, and there will be small sections of the level that will be unlockable by using power-ups you found during the 1st run, and they will feature items to collect etc... unlocking these sections will make them available in 'Speedrun mode' for (short) time attack sessions.
Finally, we will certainly make a free DLC/maps pack later after having taken some rest ^^'
P.S.: the ghost would be nice to have, maybe it will be a feature added later, right now we are focusing on the core content of the game.
Hey,
Hum... that could be possible, we started looking at this solution a long time ago and there wasn't any technical or legal issue for us to set up a paypal on our website...
We need to discuss it again and double check everything, stay tuned!
Hey,
the demo should be online tomorrow at the latest!
Don't forget to give us your feedback if you try it : )
Hi Mess',
we saw your post on the NeoGAF forum: thank you very much for it!
We definitely want to hear your feedback about the game, so don't hesitate to tell us using this:
deadlock[-dot-]team[-at-]gmail[-dot-]com
This will really help us a lot!
Cheers : )
Ok, to be honest we didn't really think about it so... thanks for the tip ^^
We just sent a mail to contact the HumbleStore team: hope they will answer us : p
Hey, thanks!
Well, Stem/Greenlight is our ultimate goal, we are still trying to figure out how we can achieve that, but we think there are fair chances that the game will be released on Steam at some point and we will give Steam keys to people that already bought game then...
For the Humble Bundle... Well it's definitely something we would want to be part of, but, you know... We need to finish the game first ^^
Anyway, we are going to release a demo soon, so if you come to play the game we will really appreciate to hear your feedback about it!
See you,
5-Bits Games Team.
Yep, we know: the game's title is still work in progress as it didn't change since the 7 Days FPS 2012.
We will certainly add a subtitle so they would not be any confusion with the RTS game called 'Deadlock; Planetary Conquest'.
See you!
Hey Mr.exbod, thanks for the feedback : )
If you ever come to play the game, feel free to tell what you thought about it!
Hey Krywk, you must be the 'lucky fellow' type since yes, there will be Linux and Mac versions of the game ^^
@CrunchyFlakes:
thank you very much, Fabien (the man responsible for all the visual aspects of the game) is doing his best :)
@psn_toonjuice:
Hey! Well we're finally trying to make a retail game with the goal to provide at least a 3 hours length solo experience and some replayability with a 'Speed Run' mode which is basically a Time Attack mode...
Sorry for answering so late ^^'
