This mod is pretty cool, but bots could be significantly improved. Something as simple as making them destroy crates on contact and starting out with a pistol and some ammo would already make them very worthy opponents.

For navigation, there's not much that can be done, but my TDBots do have waypointing support: Zandronum.com
I really doubt anything can be done to avoid them walking into the danger zone though, but I'll try investigating to see if they could be removed if they detect they are in there. If you don't mind I could write support myself as long as you are willing to merge the changes into the main project for easier updating (I promise they aren't intrusive, and can be removed easily and quickly if needed).

Also, as skdursh mentioned, I made a DUBG mod myself long ago, and if you could change something to make it a bit more obvious that they aren't the same mod, I would be very thankful. Even a suggestion so I can change the name would be acceptable too.

EDIT: ACS code is closed source and obfuscated on top of that, helping out became much harder :/

You really can't call this a "bag of stolen mods", unless you don't know what kind of people the Doom community is. All most people ask for is giving credit but otherwise you are free to do what you want with the assets.

I'm not all for defending this one mod in particular, but it's true that it's not unfair use of the mods used. Also, the reason Doom Remake 4 got taken down is because it said "Remake" in the title, which no matter what has always gotten any Doom related project taken down.

You should use anything predating ZScript. In other words, drfrag's ZDoom continuations are the best option, fixing bugs, adding new features while keeping 1:1 compatibility with mods meant for ZDoom/Old GZDoom like Brutal Doom.

Here's ZDoom LE (faster overall, perfect for larger and more complex maps):

Here's ZDoom32 (quite a bit slower but has a software truecolor renderer, more features and even more stability fixes, perfect for most maps except very big ones):

Don't let the names fool you, they both have a GZDoom/Hardware accelerated renderer. GZDoom 2.1.1 is unmantained and may have bugs and security issues, so i don't recommend using it over these two.
Another option is Zandronum, less bells and whistles than ZDoom32 but on the other hand it has the same stability fixes and you can play online with it. It's faster than ZDoom32 and slightly slower than ZDoom LE.

I don't think he will. There's quite a few reasons but one is that it's a BD-exclusive feature and maybe he wants to keep it like that. I wouldn't really call it selfish or anything because, well, he made it, and it isn't unreasonable to keep it on his own mod.

Buy DOOM Complete Classic and play Ultimate Doom, Doom 2, Final Doom: TNT and Plutonia. This gives you 132 levels to play through, play them in this order, as this is from easiest to hardest. Althrough Doom 2 in UV will be a bit of a challenge, and Plutonia i recommend you choose either Hey not too Rough or Hurt me Plenty, because UV is going to be very hard.

Hey dude, i'll have you know that good Doom mods take time. Wait a while and just play other things, there's also another Battle Royale mod, it's smaller but at least it's released: Moddb.com

Hey, are you going to finish the Doom Royale mod? If not, i would love to do so!

Even if you are going to finish it, i would like to help. For instance, adding ZDoom support is trivial and might have quite a few benefits. Maybe also fix a couple bugs with your ACS code.

By the way, i have been making bots for ZDoom/Zandro, and because they have waypointing support, i thought they could be a good fit for Doom Royale.

EDIT: Yeah this name sucks horribly but it's been 4 years since i started using it and i haven't bothered to change it.

You should make the lightweight version the same quality as Real Guns Advanced 2, because the current version is far too reduced.

Just making the images the same resolution as they were in Real Guns Advanced 2 and making them have the same fps / framerate as in that mod would really help a lot with speed and filesize and it would still look really good.

This is incredibly awesome! I would really love to help with this but unfortunately i'm already busy doing a game with some other folks :/ But i hope you get new team members to help with this.

But i'm wondering, are these models from the leaked HL2 beta or did you recreate them based on concept art?
