ah, nevermind! the ini file works with zip files too, so all I have to do is place the zip file inside the bin folder and change the Path to reference the zip file instead of the zscript...

Hi all, other than drag'n'dropping, how can I make it work with a zdoom.ini file?

I have multiple mods, so I have gzdoom on a Doom2 root folder and subfolders under mods/[name] for each mod. Each one has its own ini file, bin folder with the mod files, dedicated saves folder and a .bat file that runs gzdoom with that mod's ini file.

So, for VoxelDoom, the [doom.id.doom1.ultimate.Autoload] in zdoom.ini has Path=mods/VoxelDoom/bin/zscript.zc. Unfortunately, with VoxelDoom, this setup doesn't work, as gzdoom throws a "File not Found" for all the included zscripts under zscript/CheelloVox... Any ideas?

Hi, very nice job so far! I know it's still a WIP, but may I give you some suggestions? Don't be afraid to break from the mold. It doesn't need to be a 1:1 reproduction of DOOM 4, nor should it be. Doom 4 had to have huge rooms to be more immersive given the more advanced engine they were working on.

I think the open spaces and rooms could be smaller while still retaining the Doom 4 feel. Instead of the huge open empty spaces we see, it could be a sequence of smaller interconnected ones. One example: the end of level 2, when you reach the bridge and the cart with a secret inside. It's just an open empty space with very little content. That could be a lot smaller, and still retain the "oh, I recognize this" feel.

Another thing, feel free to add lots and lots of enemies in there. Doom 4 had to resort to rooms with spawning enemies because it'd break our PCs to render many enemies at once, but the Doom 2 engine with D4D mod allows you to really go nuts. I've been playing D4D with Maps of Chaos OC, and it's terribly fun to fight waves and waves of enemies.'

Anyway, these are just suggestions, not harsh criticism. Keep up the good work!
