Hello!

Just wanted to get back to you about the British India thing. In the old version on the mod, it was entirely in the hands of the UK to annex the EIC. However, in newer renditions of the mod, I realized that the EIC annexes itself into the UK and it no longer forms the "Empire of the East Indies" when it absorbs Burma.

Is there any way for the player to be in control of the EIC annexation after/during the Sepoy Rebellion? Or is there some underlying bug that necessitates the AI annexing itself into you?

I really do enjoy the autonomous puppets/substates that the UK and France get in this and hope that this concept can be expanded upon.

Hello! Is there any way for me to keep British India as an Autonomous Dependency? It probably runs contrary to conventional logic, but I like the challenge of keeping my colonies as separate entities from the motherland. Think of it as Indirect Rule put into practice :P

Actually, looking at the code, it says that the trigger for the dissolution for EIC in 1836 comes from the UK. This is not from anything bad that the EIC does, but because the code for Event 9990007 states that the trigger is that the EIC is NOT a SUBSTATE of the UK. Because the EIC is released as a satellite, this triggers the event describing the EIC's policies as detrimental to the UK's control of the Indian trade.

This explains why one month into the game, why I reintegrated the EIC. Possible fixes include adding the EIC as a substate (for flavor) or changing the trigger to "is_vassal = no" (for convenience).

For now though, keep up the good work~

looked at the files, but I still can't pinpoint what is causing the EIC to be reabsorbed. Looks like apparently its something the AI is doing that is causing the trigger event for the EIC dissolution to occur rather than a bad code.

Hello, I've been looking around to fix this mod and possibly port it forward to 3.04 on the latest HPM mod after I fix some needed events and decisions

The goals of my fix:

1) Include some backstory to the fall of the British and French empires, which means that the Syndicalist/communist revolutions will eventually become actual wars. UK player losing the war against the UoB will follow the expected Kaiserriech storyline. Winning on the other hand, will open up some new ideas that I've yet to put down coherently.

2) prevent Germany from willy-nilly annexing its Mitteleuropa puppets simply because the old national reunification events are in play. No more MittelAfrika petitioning to be reintegrated into the German Empire. Herman Goering wants power, not the other way around.

3)It's the Berlin Stock Exchange crash. Not New York. America will have enough problems as it is.

4) fix the in-game economy by adding all Indian and Chinese cultures as accepted to the Indian Empire (British Raj) and the Republic of China respectively. This will allow those pops to move freely rather than be forced to stay in one province and starve, prevent overproduction of goods and lowering of prices,

5) unproductive RGOs or those with high unemployment will have an option to change the local good, taking some ideas from PDM and HPM. This will allow further redressing of the economy

6) USA, ENG, FRA, RUS -related revolutions can no longer be avoided. What's the point of playing Kaiserriech if you choose the option to avoid the ACW? Clawing yourself out of the jaws of annihilation is more fun anyway.
================================================================================

So far, I have completed Goal #4 since it was the easiest. I have also made Newfoundland not a colonial state so that immigrants could actually go there, added coal and iron RGO to New Zealand so that the future Australasian Confederation can have some domestic production. The Indian Empire/British Raj should have enough time between the start of the 1921 bookmark and whenever it Westernizes such that it can make turn most of India from colonies to states, thereby paving the way for a balance when it breaks up between itself, the Princely Federation, and the Bharatiya Commune.

My next step is to finish writing the storylines for the ENG-UOB war, as well as the FRA-COF war. A UK player who loses the fight against the Revolution will inherit Canada as a fall back position, but this will trigger a complete collapse of the Empire with only Australasia and a shattered Indian Empire as loyal partners (not puppets). Furthermore, the player will switch to a new country TAG with only British as primary/accepted, in order to simulate the emerging reactionary government-in-exile.

The French collapse will occur simultaneously as the British one. The French player will face Syndicalist revolt in the form of the Commune of France (COF), and will be forced to fight a losing war as only conservative and Petain-loyalist regions in the south will support them. Losing the French Revolution results in exile in Africa, under a new country TAG with French as primary and Pied-noir as accepted. One should bear in mind that a great majority of the colonial population will not like you, and a great deal of your African territories are colonies, not states.

Also, did I tell you that Herman Goering wants power, not the other way around?

Played the United Kingdom. I used the EIC Minimod, and I was pretty surprised that 1 month after the game started, the EIC dissolved itself and reintegrated. I thought it was a funny side-note.

I'll probably look around to see how you write your mod files and see if I can fix this and then add some more flavor. For example, making an event to allow the creation of the Indian Empire/British Raj as a UK substate. And then some decisions for the UK player's choice of leadership style in the Raj to simulate the interactions between the Indian National Congress the Viceroy.

Hello,

I was mucking around in the files, and I noticed an "Imperial Federation" tag and file. From my Victoria Ultimate experience, this was the alternative to the Commonwealth, where UK can unite the Commonwealth, but receive less accepted cultures. Or something along those lines.

Is this the same thing by chance in CWE? If so, how do I unlock it?

A really well made mod. Have to say that the UK is much weaker and industrialization is much harder to start and maintain. It was 1833 and I had a substantial industry going, with several cement factories, a some glass factories, wineries, breweries, and then a single line of fabric-regular clothes-luxury clothes factories.

I thought I was in a safe enough position to switch over to a lassiez-faire economic policy, but then everything crashed as soon as I switched. I had noticed some problems early on, not enough demand for cement was causing me to bleed cash into industrial subsidies. However, I needed the cement and steel to build the clipper shipyards to gain a leg-up on the competition in Prussia and France.

Stuck in a problem that squeezed from both sides (needing to keep with the competition in Europe and China, bleeding cash to support domestic industry, not enough cash left over for the military in which the damn boats sucked away over 300GBP daily due to no global shipbuilding whatsoever, and thus needed more cash to build those shipyards).

The problem I think is that the UK needs the BEIC (British East India Company) to be able to produce more goods via better tech. Problem is that this tech lags really badly. Maybe if the Company has a small region that it can call a state so that it's tech doesn't lag behind badly.

I wanted to get the latest version of the mod, however someone said that one link that is included here on this is just a reupload of an older version. I'm inclined to say thats true, because I can't seem to find the British Commonwealth state-forming decision. I only see the organization decision.

Next to impossible to form the Commonwealth Union. Changelog stated that it was supposed to be harder, but it seems like the only way to form it is that the People's Commonwealth/Union of Britain suffers a democratic revolution. With the nerfing of rebels spawning, this is very hard to even attempt and often leads to the player stuck being communist till the end of the game, and the decision sitting there like it is taunting you.

Canada, the most likely and expected nation to restore HMs Government in Westminster, receives "The Royals Arrive" event, which only gives them 5 prestige, and nothing else that might lead to Imperial restoration.

If anything, either Canada must get a decision that allows for imperial restoration, or an event chain that allows for imperial restoration be possible. I can't really rely on Jacobin/Anarcho-liberal rebels to occur, because rebels seems very hard to spawn.
