I u-ld a snap of my test machine specs...I don't know but Im guessing its about the average machine in use,My other machine has no issues but its relatively newer and well ..kinda a mixed breed of goods ne way.

Nice to see the implmentation of AT pits.

Theres several linux distro's out for audio studios or projects. I do not like pasting links but you can do a web search for Linux Audio Bundles & Distributions or linux distro for audio projects , no need to worry about your current OS as all these distro's can be run as live file systems on cd or flash or even installed as virtual machines(if you wish) or installed side by side on your HD. I use linux distros to get rid of all the background garbage hogging my sys resources when modeling, editing textures, and working working with audio.

A combination of AV Voice Changer and Audacity with a few misc plugins will get you about any ya want. We ran our final voice overs through sams broadcaster for DJ drops etc.which gave us even a few more "live" personalities. Theres voice packs which are geographical and ethnic presets all over the web for win and unix like systems.
