One of my earliest memories is sitting in my parents living room watching my brother play Final Fantasy on the NES that we had gotten for Christmas. It was from this early age that my passion for RPG's spawned the obsession I have today. Final Fantasy quickly lead me to Dragon Warrior 1–4 and it wasn't until we had our first home PC that the greater scope of the RPG genre opened up to me. Playing Ultima VII blew my mind with its vast open world gameplay and living breathing world. There was no going back, it had already been decided: RPG's were hands down my favorite genre and I was constantly on the lookout for the next game release.
