You can change Comic's skin! Whatever you put in skin slot 04 will show up on Comic's plane.

That's right, you could even assign each slot it's own normal map if you wanted to get crazy.

MREC can do a lot more than that though. For example you can make the plane's paintjob glossy rather than matte, or make the canopy frame (or other detail parts) bare-metal. Nuke even managed to make a convincing carbon-fiber weave by alternating glossy/matte in MREC.

It looks like the next release of Lotsbiss' tools will be able to do MREC isolation, so this might not be a problem for much longer.

Your standalone skin-1 MREC pak does potentially cause conflicts with other packs, just a heads up.

It has a unique MREC texture, so it can only go in color 02 or 03.

You can use a manager like JGSME to easily enable/disable conflicting mods.

I see it now, MREC issue, simple fix.
