This is a game on Steam
Hi, let me know if you ever come back online I really would like to talk to you about the old screenshots you have from G-String Beta. Not sure if they are from the Moddb page or you took them. I'm in the middle of an archiving project so it would be cool if you could send them may way if you got time.
Same thing happened to me, I played it back when I was 10 and it changed me forever. But yeah if you liked the Beta you'll definitely enjoy the game you should totally buy it!
WOOT! Can't wait to listen to everything on .FLAC, I loved the soundtrack!
Wow this scene has improved so much over the years
I think she said she would add achievements in some updates after the game is released on Steam
Understood, thank you for the response, and I wish you the best of luck!
Question, do you think it will be out before the end of the year? I understand if you won't give us an exact time but just a rough time frame would be nice though. I mean at the end of the day I don't think it would be a problem if you gave us an ETA because it's estimated, it's okay if you don't release it by then because that's the definition of an ETA ya know? But that's either here nor there just to know it could be out before the end of the year would be nice. :)
Thank you for the response, I can only imagine working on a project for so long. You have some serious dedication and passion going into your game that I seriously admire. I actually donated $20-$25 about a year or two ago and don't mind what-so-ever to pay for it when it comes out. I absolutely love this game/mod. I remember when I first played the beta when it came out I was nine and I was in awe of such atmosphere and the commentary it had on what the world could become. I really do hope the donations and everyone's support helped you keep on truckin even in those hard times. Best of luck I really mean it!
In a media release reply you say that this may be another phase, but I'm not sure what that may mean. A phase in a project of this length could mean months to even a year. I mean you said the game is done and it seems that you are just polishing it. Other then that what is left to do? I feel we never get a clear answer as to what needs to be done. I understand creating this mod for so long and putting your heart and soul into it only to get a message like this is can be annoying or frustrating. But at this point I've heard so many times that it is "almost done" and "soon" that I'm starting to get a bit frustrated myself. I'm sure your far enough in development that you could at least give a very vague time frame, like a 4-5 weeks, 2-4 months, or a year. I hope you understand where I'm coming from and that I'm not attacking you. It's just I think me and some other people want some clear answers as to what is going on with the finishing of what will most likely be a masterpiece of a mod/game.
I do not see how the plot is basic what so ever. It is one of the most interesting and complex stories I've even seen told in a Source Engine mod. Also I haven't encountered any game breaking bugs. I agree with everything else though.
This is absolutely insane more people need to play this amazing mod.
I'd love to see a remake one day of this mod. Although it wasn't perfect I really did like the concepts it had. I think having combine to fight in a portal mod is a very interesting idea. I think this mod had a lot of potential it just lacked in execution. Best of luck if you ever decide to remake this mod!
Will there be an update to patch this for MMod 1.3?
Just noticed the Steam logo in the background, nice touch looks really good!
Holy ****, it's my childhood dream come true this is actually coming out!!!!
Happy New Year, can't believe it's going to be 2020!
This is an absolutely amazing trailer, I can't wait to play this masterpiece! Also for anyone who can't watch it here and isn't patient enough to wait for the high rez version get VLC media player go to the top left where it says "Media" and go to "Open Network Stream..." then paste this link in: Cdn.dbolical.com and press "Play" Sadly it's at 480p but better then nothing. (Do not highlight the link just right click it.)
Beautiful view, and as always you have my vote!
I'd be very interested in seeing the old versions of G-String, I'm about to go into collage for game design and these versions would be very interesting to look at
Wow I can't believe it's finally almost done, I've been following the development of this amazing mod since I was in 4th grade. I can't wait to hopefully see this on Steam soon and play it! Best of luck on the final stretch Eyaura! :)
OMG OMG OMG You fixed it!!! Thank you!!!! I can't believe you made a fix for my request!
Ever since I played the beta back in 2012 I've been fascinated by the world you have created. I talk to a lot of my friends about how awesome this mod is and recommend them to play it. I'm also re-downloading the mod again just to find and play some of the soundtracks. I can't (can) wait for the full release after six years. I hope you don't feel bad about making us wait because I think we all know it will be totally worth the weight :P. Best of luck!
And an awesome puzzle section, Lost Coast was going to be much more expansive before they chopped it up into what it is now sadly.
The right is more trying to show their bloom tech then it's trying to show HDR. They rewrote most of the rendering code for the Source Engine to render in HDR but then down convert it into LDR and anything that is reflected or lit too that high for the display (probably higher then a value of 255) gets bloom. The left is just trying to show the Engine before the rendering implementations.

I love Source Engine games and mods, my favorite is G-String. I also do some modding/developing.
