The RR team didn't try to get me off. Guys made a great contribution to map development by testing and supporting me despite all these fps problems. Activity for the last half year before the release was very low due to lack of time for the team members. I think it was decided to simply not wait any longer and release a last build, into which my map was not added initially. I was not against this arrangement.

I hope that you have coordinated your plans with members of the RR team?

I apologize for such a late reply. For some reason I don't get notifications, and I'm here very rarely. However, thank you for your attention to my work! Everything is really debatable here with performance, but it was originally a big experiment.

I just didn't know at the time that sector portals put so mach strain on performance. An additional factor of the "failure" was that all the initial stages of development map were covered by temporary textures without dynamic lighting. FPS did not drop below 17-20 in the most "heavy" places. But with finalization and full lightning, it turned out that it was impossible to play. A redevelopment and cutback followed (initially it was ~30 min longer). At that time, I had a PC with an AMD Athlon II X2 CPU and a Gigabyte HD 7770 GPU (about 10 fps in place from video).

This is Moonlight by Darkhalo. And yes, its a great track. Leodoom85 advised it to me and it fits map atmosphere perfectly.

Brilliant work!

Level design is very professional. Repainted enemies looks more memorable, than somewhere else. I was very enjoyd exploring this base and feel that atmosphere. At some point it was reminds about "The Thing" horror-game. On "Hard" difficulty, wasting ammo is a bad idea, but this is not critical for survive. Only one minus - this project is too short.

Despite the low duration, the map gives quite strong gameplay. The battle with the combines at the very beginning is very risky, as well as the subsequent collision with the headcrabs, but these are the moments I love in HL maps. I took this to my collection.

I was very impressed with what I saw at the beginning, but the duration is disappointing. In general, this map shows through good experience. I expect that subsequent works will also be surprising in terms of visuals, but will be more lengthy. Good luck!

Thank you. How cool it is, really! I thought there would be more participants... By the way, this map was formally made from July 14th, before that I made an absolutely simple map in Egyptian style for the contest. If Scratch had not told me how to make weapons, I would not have taken up such an idea. I'm glad that I chose this style. The first map, which has remained undone, I maybe would finish later. I think I will soon publish here on ModDB the rest of my levels for Doom 2 and Serious Sam TSE. Maybe someone will like it ...

It was nice to run. I hope that this project will increased by volume in the future. It only upsets the fact that there is no background music, but this does not greatly affect the impressions.

Sorry, but I can't unpack that RAR-archive. WinRAR says: "The archive is corrupted or has an unknown format". 7-Zip says a same. I was download it twice with one result. :(

Exceptional quality work that reflects the completeness of visual possibilities stock Doom 2 textures and Boom-compatible geometry. The author has done a great and complicated job, carefully combining into one map multiple stylistics. Player is not tested for strength by geometry confusion or lack of ammunition. Often find themselves in areas that are just interesting to consider. Map geometry encourages the exploration and the process is remembered at the expense of the major locations where the player will need skill and luck. Difficulty increases smoothly, no kinks, indicating that careful balance elaboration.

The work deserves the highest praise. My respects to to the author.
