Hi, Im a Architectural Design Graduate who is far more interested in video games and computer modelling than building real life stuff (too much paperwork). Im continually learning from tutorials and whatnot and my experience currently is in 3DSMax, XSI Mod Tool and the blaspheming Sketchup. I have also been spending quite alot of time enjoying learning the ins and outs of the hammer editor over the last 6 months. This has so far culminated in a short map for Left 4 Dead based on the notorious Trafford Centre in the UK.

Yeah, took a couple of months off as I was busy with other stuff. Just re-uploaded the mod with level 3 in it. Still a lot of work to do.

Whilst this isnt going to be a commercial product, its not really cool for you to use our content for your mod. Especially as we havent completed the project we are working on.

There is the possibility that we would allow it to be used after we have released our mod, however that decision would lie with the team leader and the music artist, Mr. Sugar and Beckett007 respectively.

Thanks for taking an interest in the project however.

We went through quite alot of iterations with regard to the legs. They were originally alot shorter and it made the grunt look far too top heavy. I think KilluH has achieved a really great look and the mechanical legs really add to the intimidation factor.

The legs specifically remind me of the quake 4 section where the main character has his limbs cut off.

This has been discussed in the past, but is unlikely to happen as people like to produce their own work for portfolios and it also is alot simpler without having to communicate between three different teams.

Why dont I just sell my mailing address to Trion for $50 and then go buy a copy of the game.

I really do like the idea of contests, but the hoops you have to jump through and the subscriptions you end up on from 'winning' makes these kind of contests feel cheap. Then again, I understand from a business perspective why they do this kind of thing.

Is it bad that its almost believeable? I think that april fools jokes always appear funnier to the people making them than the people looking at them. Especially when its text and pictures.

Nice podcast. It seems that community involvement is what will further the mod scene. Our medium sized team has the usual positions open of concept artists and coders, of which there seems to be few with spare time to join another team. We have been internally discussing how to get the community involved with our mods progression in a way that would be encouraging and motivational and not require the dedication that a full team member has to put into the project.

I had that bug happen to me awhile back. It a really random bug that will kill you 90% of the time, and then sometimes not occur at all.
Best advice is to quicksave before getting in the elevator and then keep trying until it works :/

Here's an explanation I found from some dude on the internet:
"It's all a sick, sick joke being played on Barney all the scientists. You see, it works like this.

Scientists hate Security Guards, and Security Guards hate Scientists. It's just a fact

The Guards have constantly bullied the scientists, by not letting them access files, or stopping them from getting in areas that they have clearance for, that stuff.

Now that this whole resonance cascade occured, the Guards need the Scientists for once. But the Scientists find it absolutely hilarious randomly explode using chemical time bombs that they created, instead of helping Barney. They're crazy like that. "

Model looks nice, but im not too keen on the red ninja G-string he/she appears to be wearing! :D

As for the style I dont think you can go wrong with combining Mirrors Edge, Tron Legacy and Portal. Keep up the good work.

What do you mean they already exist? If they didn't, we wouldn't have been able to show them off. If you mean there are already a billion glock renders on moddb I can understand your point, but not showing the work some of our modellers have produced is a disservice to them and ultimately makes us seem less active than we are. We have to recreate all the models so there is nothing wrong with us being proud enough to show them to people.

Do you care to explain why we are 'doing it wrong' with concept art?

No im afraid not. We have been steadily recruiting help over the last year or so and now we almost have a full team, but as ever with mods people come and go and everyone works at a different pace.

We are however progressing work. There are loads of placeholder textures and models that have been replaced in maps and the maps themselves are progressing really well.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. We share similar opinions as yourself and will improve parts of the game and gameplay that we werent happy with from the original game.

We are a remake, but we intend to improve as much as we can.

I have abit of a habit of downloading mods and forgetting about them for a week or two until I find time to get into them. I like completing mods in 1 or 2 sittings as I feel I appreciate games more when I really get stuck into them instead of playing for maybe 30 minutes a day.
