AMX Mod developer (old-school addon having been abandoned, then reborned in my image...).
Alice: "After killing all of those enemies, I am feeling ***** now, bring me more!"
Nice news with proper explanations and interesting informations (and juicy screenshots!). More your game grows, more it sounds interesting & exiting!
Very impressive & well made, again!
The sounds are scary!
This mod looks very promising, with some of those exclusivities!
Keep up good work!
Yes, I am interested, because it's some kind of relaxing ambiance! Thanks!
Did you do all of the songs of the albums on the page?
Sorry to bother you there, but can you log on your GameBanana account and check a PM I've recently sent to you (we know each other from models requests I did to you at TWHL). Thanks!
PS: You should add in your YouTube video the background music you use in the video!
And why not short description with it, additionally.
Apart from that, the game should be in the "Xash3D" category (https://www.moddb.com/engines/xash3d-engine/games), like some others I saw still in "Half-Life" mods category, since it is using that extended engine.
But I guess you might have more attention at letting it here, at least for now (because people know more about "Half-Life" term rather than "Xash3D" one).
So that's a kind of "funny coincidence" if you did not make it on purpose!
Her face looks like to Mackenzie Davis actress.
Thin textures & environement, nice!
But obviously, not as fun as the watch drone!
Fun & innovative for such game! Nice!
I hope the sounds fit well with it!
I hope we will be able to see Lara Croft climbing Egyptian walls (a bit like the G-Man, we see his appearance, but we can not approch it too much)! Hehehehehe!
Awesome skyes at the Xen style, despite this might not fully fit to the reality if "we are on earth". But it's good looking!
Since the mod has been released on Steam, can you release the dedicated server files here too (a .zip of a workable RAW installation for both Windows & Linux OSs)?
Yes, this is just that I thought, this mod needs a multiplayer support, where Alien team vs Predator team are fighting!
Where did you see that?
Be patient, such mod take a lot of time to be completed, especially if authors are not numerous and does not want to share a beta/butched product, but a quality mod at first release.
I like this, simple, properly explained and very informative at the same time.
You might use Qwertyus's Overhaul models/sounds/etc. in your mod (with his permission maybe), and why not some other good textures from skilled mappers (stuff we can see in HL: Echoes, and similar). High quality content nowdays is always welcomed! We are in 2020! Quality render motivate more the people to stay longer on GoldSrc based games (at least for my case), since a lot of other people move to more recent games most of the time for the new quality modernism can offer to them.
I'm glad to hear there will be new weapons too, additionnaly to some other things you said.
Keep up good work!
Yeah, I follow Xash3D & a few of his games running on it.
And I commented here since "I saw an update notification on the top", but I forgot to check for the date before commenting (I tought this was released yesterday!).
In fact there were no changes at the update date (yesterday), changes/files was released 2019/10/28 (certainely the archiving/unarchiving process you did who send me notification, as you said), but it's O.K., because I missed this update for the game I have installed, and also my comment about "update shooting process" still worth.
Thanks for the patch & your reactivity.
By the way, everything concerning this game should be there:
To centralize... will be easier to find it.
Good to know! Thanks for the update.
I'm just sad there is no update about the "shooting process" in such games (including Paranoia 1) which is just horrible for various things, including traces & damage done.
But I'm wondering why those patches are not in the "Paranoia 2" game section. I missed them before, because hard to find it.
Looks promissing, but I think (at least for cleanless) all mods using the Xash3D engine should be placed in its own game category, here -> Moddb.com
Even if this could be understandable to put it in "Half-Life mods category" since it's much more browsed by people, then you got more attention to your project!
Nice design & textures!
Good looking winter map! But I'll like to see a version slightly derived and more adapted for a deathmatch gameplay!
You could still release the "base mod" on Steam, then link/inform people regarding third-party content they could get elsewhere, as on moddb. But I understand your choice.
Yeah, your (both of you) maps, I run crossedwire & altdel on my servers (on altdel there is a core ads, including secret room with something hot! Small naughty boys! Hahaha!), nice textures! I just forgot that the authors's names of those maps were the developers of that famous mod, probably due to the fact both of you didn't make a lot of HLDM maps (compared to some other authors as victor-933, trempler, docrock, where I run more maps).
Now your names are in my memory!
By the way, about your own maps, on TWHL, all of them are classified in the "Half-Life" category, while I'm pretty sure a few are for HLDM (as the ones with the "dm_" prefix, like hysteria), if this is the case, I think you should edit the category of those maps (change to "Half-Life: Deathmatch"). You know, for the people like me who only search for multiplayer maps.
Thanks for your informations.
Sven Co-op is "dedicated" to co-op mode, and it's probably the most well known and enhanced mod regarding this kind of gameplay.
Despite there are a lot of things (usually interesting) added on the latest versions (5.*), I personnaly do not like the path the development takes and the developer's decisions. If I can specify some examples of very bad changes is dropping of Windows XP support, Debian 8, lack of interest at making things easily compatible with AMX/AMXX addons...
So if we could have a quality alternative as replacement like this one, this might still be welcomed. At least for people like me still sticked on Windows XP, because I like it.
There are some free mods using GoldSrc engine available on Steam, multiplayer or not, like Headcrab Frenzy, Base Defense, etc., then probably some other being single player, I don't remember them right now.
Some of them are far to be as "special" as yours, but still they are on Steam.
I don't know what is the process for game authors to request for such addition, but I'm guessing you have to ask Steam, then a petition via vote should be launched, then according to the results you might see the game among the "official listing".
Your game sounds like a piece of art with GoldSrc, and having it on Steam will help to get it known & played more, at time of release, of course.
Even if you know most of the addicts of GoldSrc games mods stick around moddb websites & others, it's still welcomed to have it elsewhere, in order to inform more people. After all of this hard work, it's pleasant when it pays off more (see it being used/played & liked more!), that a quality work deserves.
PS: What Half-Life Deathmatch maps are you talking about? I remember some quality maps I'm using on my servers with smooth textures (like psychedelic_final), but maybe you are talking about upcoming maps you've made and not released yet (including in your mod), or are you talking about current existing ones outside your mod, somewhere on the web?
By the way, you can count on me to promote your mod at its release.
Quality stuff, I like quality stuff!
This upcoming mod seems promising and creative.
I like that!
Interesting mod with some extras/funs stuff that are innovating (as jukebox...). Good job author!
Just if you could release latest build (#1803) for Linux, and also provide such Linux binary directly in the latest package here (with Windows's .dll one), and also within Steam installation, this will be welcomed.
Well, I think this mod has the most good looking maps (about quality) I've ever seen for GoldSrc!
I hope once finalized, it will be available on Steam too, then why not a multiplayer (deathmatch) part as complement... Someday, where we could play with friends on an high quality textured mod under GoldSrc!
