I approve of this game :)

It just doesnt work with openjdk-7 yet. I had to manually change the path to make it use openjdk-1.6.0. After that it worked.

After playing the demo, Im convinced. I bought it.

If you like dwarf fortress, this game is for you too. Easier to get into, but just as fun, lets hope the game will get as deep and interesting as DF though :)

The game is remarkably moddable already. Want to add custom items? You can. Want to add new animals? recipes? buildings? All posible. With some XML knowledge you can do nearly anything.

I myself in a few hours made a new item (a woodburner) and made the game harder by denying magical fire. You want to have a working stove, woodburner or smelter? Better go find some flint, wood and coal to make a torch to light it then.

If you get stuck on the game because you cant figure out the controls here is a quick run down

ESC - Main menu (save/quit)
q - move level up
a - move level down
tab - toggle visibility roofs
ctrl - toggle transparancy walls
shift - hold for repeatable placing the same item
middle mouse button - switch levels
F2 - production menu (to produce items you can eat or need to construct other objects)
w + e - cycle through civilians

It just doesnt work with openjdk 1.7. When I let it point to openjdk 1.6.0 manually, the game does start. Its unplayably slow, but it does start.

Good idea though, so I did pay for this.
