I think you are just forgetting to air-strafe, look up a tutorial, it makes your life 100% easier with platforming mods like this one, in this case it helps to keep speed after every bounce.
Holy crap, that was incredibly cool! Are you planning to add more maps in the future? To be honest I don't think there are many custom maps that could be as fun as yours with this mechanic. Keep it up!
Not bad, I think I broke the map with the timed door by exploding a crate that should have killed me but didn't, so after pressing all six buttons a trigger_hurt entity brush prevented me from reaching the door. Other than that, cool story, fun puzzles. Tbh I expected something much uglier.
Just like you said in another mod page, "we live in 2024". I'm using your statement against you now, because the game is like 26 years old and it looks like most players haven't even bothered in learning how to play it and choose to complaint because it is easier. It is evident that you wasted all your ammo on stuff that didn't need it. Ammo is low of course, but it is still more than enough, even on hard settings. Why is it so hard to create a plan B as soon as you notice the ammo dropping down? "Hey, this zombie is slow, maybe I can just run past him" ; "maybe I can lure these headcrabs over there and distract this bullsquid" ; "maybe I can throw a grenade to scare these vorts away for a moment". See? it isn't that difficult.
I'm very excited for the release of this mod, I already know I will love it because the concept is incredibly similar to my own maps: the ambushes, no crawling, hallways overran by xen textures, quake related origins, laser turrets, more ambushes lol. Best of the best luck to you man!

Excited to check any new project from you, I save all your mods in my hard drive, there is something very unique about your stuff, I can't really tell what it is, but it so fun to play your maps. To be honest I don't check HL mods section anymore, in fact, the only reason that I have to log in is checking if I have any notif from any of the very few people I follow here, because I know it can only be good.
Best of luck with your new project, I wish I could help with something, but I'm having the same problems, my improvised new enemies don't go beyond skill.cfg changes and modified vanilla models, not to mention I should seriously put more time on my own mod.

I wonder if you have any recommendations for someone who does like freeplay. After finishing the series I spent a reasonable amount of time in Call Of Prypiat and Shadow Of Chernobyl (without entering the Sarcophagus) to have some sort of freeplay experience but after some time everything became very easy to get. I tried Anomaly as well but the amount of time I had to spend just clicking stuff in the inventory to figure out things was ridiculous.

Sorry for the late reply! I'm working on in from time to time like usual, but I'm slowsly incorporating more and more speedrunning elements to it that I don't think players from this community will really enjoy. To be more clear, the doom logic is very strong in my maps (ambushes, arena-like encounters, very heavy platforming) it is extremelly grindy and that was never welcomed here. I'll upload several new pics to my profile once I finish next map but the mod will remain hidden until I decide if it is worth to release it outside the Sourceruns community or not.

It might have a few weak points regarding doors, vents and puzzles, but difficulty-wise this very good and even creative, so don't worry it is not unfair, I finished it on hard with a decent amount of ammo and health, you are never forced to take damage and besides some alien slaves there are only two crabs and zombies that are actually necessary to kill in order to progress. I expect people to have trouble adapting to this kind of grindy stuff but calling it umbalanced should not be the easier option.
