Hey, sorry for the late reply, I must admit I let the ModDB version lagging behind. I plan to update it once I fixed some performance issues that came to my attention. Meanwhile it's still possible to get the mod from GitHub (https://github.com/sol-oriens/Shores-of-Infinity). Choose the master branch (selected by default) and hit the download button on the right, then install as usual.
Edit: the mod version is now updated.

You can have support ships behave more or less like strike craft by including ammo stores in their blueprint and setting their behavior to 'bomber' or 'cavalry'.
