Thank you!
I actually discovered this a not long after posting that comment! Been following it since :)
I used to play around with this a lot and have a lot of fond memories of it, but it never truly felt like a good version of the concept in GoldSRC. I thought about it a lot and I think I know why that is.
GMod is a physics sandbox designed around the Source engine. Every tool in GMod is designed around Source's feature-set and so it all feels great and fun to play with.
Go-Mod on the other hand is designed around GMod, not the Goldsrc engine. Every design decision in the mod seems designed to maximise comparisons to GMod rather than standing on its own.
I think if Go-Mod instead started at square one and designed a sandbox game based on Goldsrc's capabilities, it'd be a far greater success.
But that's just a post-mortem on an 12-year-dead mod. Maybe someone else could do the concept justice, goldsrc is a fun engine and a sandbox game based around it would be great!
Hey first of all, i'd like to say this mod is awesome! I honestly really really enjoy it.
Secondly, in future updates can you keep the current blood hit particle effects. Idk why, but imo there's something extremely satisfying about them and pulling off a headshot with them just feels awesome!
