easier said then done....but I will see what I can do (much later in production)
I've been using 2 of them but have now switched back to DBP (DarkBasicPro). The last video was AGK(AppGameKit) but its a tad weak for what I want to do with the game. So im back to using DirectX (AGK is openGL based)
real time survival for sure.
Im also looking at setting it up a tad differently so you have a group of survivors and you can take them out with you exploring and look for stuff to keep your group alive all on a randomly generated map. (sand box)
I haven't actually played Day-Z. Low spec pc yes as its being developed on an e-machine for that purpose.
This is just a game mode that will be released first in December this year. There is more game to come...
im trying to keep it as low spec as possible :p
also I now have as many as 35 zombies spawned running around at once which is going to be crazy multiplayer fun!
YES SIR!
lol! Im just going out for holidays but next month I should be back at it.
Thanks... Also use the console to type \\respawn
If ya die.... On this release.
I plan on adding multilayer support soon
I just wanted to post some additional information on what I am currently working on.
*re-coding the main character
*adding multiplayer support
*re-coding zombies to react to multiple players
*adding more items + weapons
*doors
*windows breakable
The list will grow significantly as I go along.
yes making buildings/traps/driving vehicles....this will all be coming too!
Please download and leave some feedback so I know how it currently runs and what controls need to be changed if any so I can optimize as much as I can.
Thanks
would people like to see enemies first? or more tiles? or multiplayer/edit?
My time is somewhat limited this year and cant work on all 3 at once....
It is for now and will be for the next few updates untill things start realy taking off. I should have an update soon that will allow multiplayer editting/fighting. I havent descided yet either to work on the main story first or multiplayer mode sections.....eg capture the flag etc...
But... i can say things are moving very smoothly for the next update to be a big one.
Im working on the editor now being fully MultiEdit/ GameMultiPlayer.
This will push the release date back to maby summer of next year.
No its actualy a complete game engine built from the same principle as mine craft to have a destructable world however its going to be alot more closer to terraria with bosses / enemies / and ultimatly a story.
I did see there is a mod for minecraft however that may be a doom related texture pack....
This update will not load existing maps from the previous test release. Please Delete them and make new ones.
Thanks
Going to be releasing another download update to get some feedback on the construction part side of things as well as the new lighting system.
Its all just test code at the moment.... I will update the download tomorow (monday).
As you can see the walls are thinner as well.
Thanks.... I will continue working hard at this and should have non stop updates to come as i go. Id eventualy like to make this multiplayer as well but will work on getting the main survival adventure finished first.
Thanks....going to go over the model prop editor to fix a few things and give it more mouse control then it has.
Please leave some feedback about any of the 2 editors and ill see if i can add any features to make it work better for everyone :)
Just finished up Model Prop (tool for 3d creation and animation). If you purchase a registration key for a limited time you can get a copy of Qmidi Studio free and for only $2.99
This will help support the main project ahead to come!
Thanks for your support!
Just to let everyone know... I have made some major improvements to Qmidi Studio so the dates will be set back for Xrocket and the Model Prop editors. Model Prop should be released in the next few months :)
Thanks!
Also for the next video i make i'll try not to have the mic so close to my computers loud fan that you hear humming away.
Also i noticed this first video plays smoother in full screen mode.
