Thanks to Dune fan and adept creator N.N,>

there are now 10 skirmish/multiplayer maps with the d2kA rules, powers and units available for the current OpenRa release 2021 03 21! Download now and play online or offline!

I checked the factions, everything works as intended :) only few minor bugs.

Hi, it is very difficult to find out what the mod's features are.
Can you please add and article and list all the changes?
Dispite that, this >seems< to be the kind of mod I would want to install on vanilla RA3 :)

The sniper is a reskin of the red alert shock trooper, in harkonnen black. Using OpenRa engine it is quite easy to make a unit with double shot. Really just a couple of text lines.

Other infantry like the ordos guild agent and the atreides loyalist and paul atreides I created and animated in blender and put them in the game.

I took a quick look at it and the answer is No, not doing it. I basically would have to go through all the map rules update errors and fix them and then retest everything for 14 maps...
Maybe (really just maybe) for next OpenRa release, because then the finished maps would be valid for a longer time.

I packaged and uploaded the maps for OpenRa 2020 05 03,just now, however. Maybe you missed some of them :)

I have updated all my maps to the current OpenRA release (release20180307), improved the performance a bit, changed some artwork, changed the "Three Outposts" mission a bit and and updated everything to use d2kA006 rules.
Have fun with this new version of d2kA!

yes. Per 2000 credits you get a transport full of sardaukar + one tank. It drains all money you have as you use it.

Even better: they have anti-air (laser) beams.
The thopters can hover with their wings like some birds of prey can. In-game they behave like helicopters with a high maneuverability.

Unfortunately on "habbanya erg" and "desert twister" were last minute copy-paste-errors rendering the harkonnen siege tanks unable to fire. Now fixed in this v2 map pack. Enjoy :)

The fences look very natural on the "supply". Should be standard :)

Once the new OpenRA release is out (which can take a while), I will post my final super polished 1.0 version [vsMis] modmaps, and some skirmish [d2kA] modmaps with the full tech tree as a zip download. Nice and easy in one package!
That will be the "release date" so to speak.

lol, i HAVE different sprites (which I made myself) for many units in this mod. Just scroll trough the pictures ....
Atreides trike, Harvester, Loyalist, Propaganda Corps, Quad, Harkonnen Harvester, Troop Crawler, Siege Tank, Missile Tank, Assassin, Starport Tank, Mobile Crane, Ordos Siege Tank, Guild Agent and finaly Ordos Harvester.

I found that grenadiers were too generic (they appeared in RA as well as TD and TS as well). They didn't feel like a Atreides unit at all. So I replaced them with the loyalist.

This is pretty good! Can't believe how much of the gameplay mechanics of Generals you magaged to get into OpenRA xD

Hope you find artists soon to flesh out the mod with new assets. Vehicles are pretty easy with Blender, for example..

The problem currently is that no one knows what exactly a "Versus Mission" is. Frankly, the phrase has not been coined yet^^. I thought Co-Op is as close as you can get while using a known term.

Hi Arios,
to answer your question - the strictly new (as in never seen before) UNITS in the mod, when finished will be:
All:
mobile crane(@starport), mercenary tank(@starport), thopter.
Atreides:
turreted trike, turreted harvester, loyalist, propaganda corps.
Harkonnen:
HMG quad, harvester, troop crawler, assassin.
Ordos:
guild agent, harvester.

Also several units have been changed serverely in how they work:
sardaukar, fremen, missile tanks, siege tanks, saboteurs. For details, please check the images I posted and their descriptions.

Nice! Finaly some overlap :D I wanted to do Harkonnen MG-Quads, too! :) Because of the increased health. Maybe we can trade custom shp models? I have a custom made quad-troop transport done which is intended for the third harkonnen light factory slot ;) And I would like to use your Missile quad in my mod/maps.
