Awesome! I can't wait - I'm sure it'll be great.
Awesome! I can't wait - I'm sure it'll be great.
It seems that you're using the current "stable" version of ECWolf, version 1.3. This mod requires the included version, which is 1.3.99999. I'm afraid I'm not quite sure if there is a mac version, but I'll check with those who know these things.
I'll look into it. What version of ECWolf are you using?
Great idea! This community needs more gameplay mods.
This mod is run with ECWolf, just so you know.
Man, this is one of the most unique Wolf3D mods I've yet seen!
I will, eventually, but there's no set date yet.
You copy all the included files to a directory, and then copy your WL6 files (From your Wolfenstein directory) into the same folder. From there, run EX4.BAT to load the files for Wolf3D, or the multiple EX4_SOD(1, 2 & 3).BAT files, for the various Spear of Destiny games.
I am unsure as to what happened, but I think that finding ECWolf.cfg, wherever it may be, and checking the parameters therein (with notepad) may be helpful.
Meaning? What specifically doesn't work?
I agree with you on the subject of the surrendering sounds. I had planned to replace them, but as I had just re-written all of the code for the mod, it was "forgotten".
As for the palette: Yes, it certainly is dull, and the goal was to make it look like a modern FPS. I'll probably restore the blue to its original shade in a future version, and possibly the green.
Thank you for the input! It's nice to hear what the community has to say!
Thanks!
This is a cool idea-It's something I've been considering for a while.
I didn't want to swamp the player with a ton of new weapons, but I think this one is definitely worth it. Perhaps I'll make the map script replace clips with shells on certain levels, and MP40s/Chainguns with shotguns.
Enjoy!
(Also... You might find a surprise on floor 21... just sayin'...)
To run this with Spear of Destiny, run Extreme_Sod.bat, and select .sod as the base game data. For Spear of Destiny 2 & 3, run Extreme_Sod2.bat or Extreme_Sod3.bat, and select .sd2 or .sd3 as above.
You will need the original Wolf3D files. I may make a version that can be run with DOOM in the future, but for now, it's Wolf3D exclusive.
Did you copy the files from the .zip file to a folder?
FINALLY: Fixed. I re-did all the programming, and there's no crashes anymore.
Thanks for the support! This should be out by mid-to late March.
I have little knowledge of how the Android version works, but I would imagine that opening the pk3 with ECWolf, or dragging the pk3 onto ECWolf should work.
FanProgrammer: It'll be back...
"Coming of the Storm" for WolfenDoom? Awesome!
This is one of my favourite mods from ANY game!
I did use some of the Atari voices, and as you pointed out, the Atari voices are rubbish. I may completely remove the "SS" and "Actoong!" sounds, because I've since added a fair amount of sounds from Return to Castle Wolfenstein, which blend really well the the Mac sounds.
This will be fixed... Soon...
(V4 is coming soon!)
