I'm a major gamer, been playing games since about the age of five with the ever-classic DOOM and Quake, then started trying my hand at strategy games, simulation games, pretty much anything I could get my hands on. Not long after that I started thinking to myself "If only I could change this or that, make this game play more like *I* want it to". That's how I started learning about mods, trainers and cracks, though I didn't have enough skill to really put together a mod of my own until I decided to dust off my old favorite "Emperor: Battle for Dune" and give it a play-through. I started tinkering with files here and there and found that I could change a rather substantial amount of things to how I felt it should be and finished my "Ultimate Realism" mod for it. Before actually making a mod of my own I had been a storywriter, innovator, and resident guru for the Halo mod for Freelancer "Freelancer: Combat Evolved" as well as briefly helping design dynamic ship damage for "88 Flak".

Would be amazing if we could get Carnius (or someone willing and able to use similar assets) to work on a Kanes Wrath mod. It's always such a shame when replaying C&C3; to go from the amazing Essence Mod or the equally amazing Tiberium Wars Advanced mod to Kanes Wrath and completely lack the flow, aesthetics, and feel of true C&C. The closest anyone has come is One Vision and while it's a good mod, don't get me wrong, it feels a bit.. all over the place, and far from a true C&C experience.

What irks me the most (being a Nod player) are the vanilla vehicles that look like glowy clown cars to me, and the street-gang looking infantry. I miss the proper infantry look of Essence and TW: Advanced, and I certainly miss the feel of old school C&C.

Anyway, having read through the threads I know that it's unlikely to see Essence or something similar grace the (admittedly mostly inferior) Kanes Wrath expansion. That said, here's me throwing my hat into the "wouldn't it be nice" arena.

Nope. I am having the same issue. Deleted my saves before updating, installed correctly and ran the cleaner as instructed.

Custom battles work fine, units all work fine but I cannot start a new campaign. When I go to start a new campaign, it simply goes back to the main menu.

The download should contain full installation directions. I attempted to make them as straightforward as possible, though some slight tweaking may be necessary for your personal system and installation path. I will give the documentation a look as soon as I can and get back to you. Please keep in mind that it has been several years since I created the mod, and several since I did anything at all with it. I hope, however, that you find the mod enjoyable despite it being somewhat unpolished.

On the contrary, Stygs, the Scrin have the advantage of numerical superiority and have very versatile and agile fightercraft. Basically, they zerg swarm with their aircraft and they have multiple warship-class aircraft, making them retain their air-superiority. The ships would make a lovely addition, I think, and would spice things up a bit. Provided they are tailored correctly, I do not think it would negatively impact the game at all. Remember that we are dealing with an aging game, some new, exciting additions will make the experience fresh and interesting.

It puts a smile on my face to hear that. :) Of all the mods on ModDB, in my personal experience, this is by far the most complex and has had the loftiest of goals *and reached them*. That is nothing short of impressive and I hope your talents pay off for you in the end. Thank you for a wonderful experience that I simply cannot stop myself from coming back to again and again.

Thank you guys. The support artillery needs a tune-up with all the enhancements being made to the rest of the units and gameplay. Right now, artillery is pretty weak unfortunately. Good for some precision strikes, certainly, but it just can't stand up to the lethality of the other Roles anymore. I find myself Pretty much using SAM units only while playing support, and backing up my allies with no-fly zones. And to be honest, that gets more than a little boring after.. well.. 5 minutes honestly. I've been playing custom bot games in the meantime, using a trainer to allow me to order more units than normal, and thus having adequate firepower when I wish for it.

Speaking of which, I hope the screens I took of the factions helped you, Fagu. It's been a long time. I am thinking of getting back on FL and helping the team out again. All of a sudden I am unable to receive my Rewards, and I can no longer call for vehicle support? The vehicle support options are simply all greyed out. As for my Rewards, no matter how much I level, I am unable to receive the Rewards at all. This is with the most recent version and both hotfixes. I also tried installing the 3.3 hotfix as well and running that with the mod at the same time but it didn't do anything.

Seeing how far this mod has come, through all the hair-pulling, the times when it seemed like it couldn't be done, all the way to re-writing game code just to get things to work - it is nothing short of breathtakingly beautiful to see your creation grow into what it is today.

And the knowledge that it is *still* growing fills me with awe, amazement and inspiration. I've been watching the mod since nearly the beginning and I hope you all see how fantastic it has turned out to be. All that hard work has paid off and continues to pay off with each and every update. Keep going strong!

The Uruk were being created, armed and armored below Isengard, not above ground. Do you generally notice the hundreds/thousands of worms crawling beneath *your* feet? I didn't think so. You tend to notice, however, when they all surface after a rainstorm.

You guys are amazing at the workload you're able to complete with the manpower at your disposal. Can't wait for Beta 6 and would love to catch a few games with you all. :)

One question: In the future (after full release) is making the code able to withstand some of the more non-conventional circumstances like the helicopter spam or other scenarios something the community can look forward to?

To clarify, I know that I personally enjoy pushing the game beyond its normal limits to create "epic" wargames; Thousands of infantry.. hundreds of vehicles, etc. My question is whether or not the community can look forward to the current code the team is working on being made capable of handling such circumstances even if normal gameplay would never see them.

It would be somewhat heartbreaking to find out that with all the great changes this mod is making, I'd lose the ability to create massive warfare if I so desired.

The mood is perfect, and I'd keep how the overall music starts to build (and reverse the build up at the end so the ending and looped beginning can transition better) but add some semblance of an actual musical score.

In-all, the current feel is just right, it just needs a little more to spice it up. (Not liven it up, mind you - the mood should stay just the way it is) but make it more "Menu Music" and not "Menu Background Noise".

Hopefully that's understandable enough..

A musical tone comparable to "Room of Angel" by Akira Yamaoka would be perfect, by my estimation.

Amazing work! It's hard to put to words how beautiful of an air-show watching this is. I'm thinking some soft, casual music.. a nice black and white or sepia effect for mood.. pausing briefly to observe each explosion in mid-air...

Heh, anyway - excellent work, truly. The only suggestion I'd make is that if possible, something be done about the way the cruise missiles are spawned when fired from the planes.

As of right now, they drop, disappear, then re-appear several meters below where they disappeared, it's rather odd looking. The planes death animation is very basic but functional and could be replaced if someone on the team desired to do so.

My gripes don't concern things that are the focus of this video though, so I stress that they're only minor things I spotted.

I'd say keep up the good work, but I know there is no need to.

As a complete guess, I would assume it will be a toggle, much like most of the units' special abilities.

Say you have 10 artillery units and you want 5 of them to be on stand-by to provide tactical support to troops on the front line. Rather than having to manually target each and every shot - all you need to do is set these units to automatically lock-on and engage the designated area(s) marked out by your teammates - leaving more long-range support targets to you and making multi-threat combat easier for the player class that needs to focus on multiple fronts at once.

It's like mocking chocolate ice cream saying "I don't understand the point". Firstly, lack of understanding is a personal issue and not an issue concerning the thing you lack understanding of; Secondly, to quote an age old adage "Don't mock it until you try it."

Tends to be a good rule of thumb, and it almost entirely eliminates "misunderstandings".

Best mod for World in Conflict I have ever played and I've tried every mod on this site as well as several others. You more than deserve a spot on the top 100 and in my opinion - a spot among the top 5 for how much work you've put in and how you've turned a fun game into the best RTS I've ever played. I have only one gripe - and that is the inability to play bot games without a time limit. With the sheer amount of new things to play with - being limited to 40 minutes a game is nowhere near enough time. I was wondering if the team could remove the time limit from all game modes or at least offer the option to have unlimited time. If the team is uninterested in implementing this into the mod - with your permission, if you could point me in the right direction I could easily tweak the files myself for personal use. Though to be honest the mod claims to sport more realistic gameplay, so I wonder why you haven't removed the time limit already. To my knowledge, no military general has fought a war, only to look at his watch and go "Oops! Our time is up! Alright men, pull out - our 15 minutes are over."

A potential long-haul addition to the mod that would fix the Zone Raider problem and add a fresh new layer to the game, setting it apart from the stock game (while keeping it fun) - is to add shielding to some special Nod units. Unlike the Scrin shielding, these portable versions would be designed to combat the GDI's increasing technical prowess. Writing it off as reverse-engineered Scrin technology is easy, as it would not be the first piece of Scrin technology the Nod have used to build their weapons of war. By giving Nod light shielding against GDI's heavy Rail weapons, you could allow the Zone Raiders to fire at targets above them as well. If such was implemented, the Zone Raider would be a far more appropriate term for their unit - being strong quick attackers against unshielded and weak opponents, while suffering if their enemy is shielded against their attacks. It would make their unit into a combination unit, useful when added to a large army of varied units (like Grenadiers or Rocket Soldiers), rather than having an entire army of just Zone Raiders. It's a bit of a long process to fix one aspect but completely removing the Zone Raider is, in my opinion, hasty and unnecessary as well as slightly game-breaking. The Zone Raider is an integral part of CnC3 and I think many people would agree with that. To remove them should only be considered as a *temporary* last resort until something can be thought up to integrate them appropriately.

That inspires me to comment on the stealth tank. As a Nod player, I know full well just how useless those tanks are, even when you're micro-managing them extremely well. It basically boils down to luck while using them, whether you'll get lucky enough to avoid any hostile attacks the entire time and be able to do your dirty work. That, or the vehicle is turned into a strict one-hit vehicle. Their stealth needs a significant boost in being able to stay unseen.

I can't wait for the English translation. I for one agree with waiting for the English translation simply because playing in a language that isn't my own simply ruins immersion, not to mention would make playing the game difficult. The thing you whining children need to learn is, just because it's being released in a language not your own first, doesn't mean anything other than you have to be patient a while longer. What you whining children on the other side need to learn is, just because playing in a language doesn't make playing the game impossible, doesn't mean it has no effect on playing and doesn't mean you can tell people how to play or who should be having fun and who shouldn't. You're like little children bickering on the playground trying to puff out your chest and compare ***** sizes when in reality, you're all pathetic. As far as releasing an English version goes, I've modded with multi-cultural teams before and we would sometimes release material to trusted members of the community so that the community could both get a glimpse of the material and help to speed up the modding process. It worked rather well, and even if the community makes a mistake or two in translation (which is bound to happen) it can be ironed out in future releases - making the whole process *much* easier and faster; Just something for the team to consider.

Ship Movement: Excellent. Banking would be a nice addition but certainly not necessary.

Sound: Very good. I personally think the Xin weaponry should have a deeper, more organic and thus more terrifying sound but these are just drones so the sound works out rather nicely.

Explosions: *Way* too huge for some drones and frigates. As it is, it looks like a nuclear reactor going off every time one of those guys pops. Personally, I think chunks need to be created for each ship and the explosions toned down for the smaller ships. Having those large explosions for the battleships and titans is understandable but for these guys, small explosions is the way to go. It would also be nice to add chunks of ships floating around and the possibility that a ship goes derelict and unusable rather than "BOOM!" right away. It's space, to effectively bring a ship out of commission doesn't mean you have to make it go critical so seeing some intact but derelict and severely beaten up ships would be a nice change to the ridiculous amount of explosions and generic pipe bits flying off in all directions. Whenever I play I always use heavy battleships just because I can't stand seeing "pop, pop, pop" and nothing but some pretty lights to show for the battle afterward. I like my battles to leave a battlefield behind and so far the only ships that manage to do that are the really heavy class ships, because of my need for aesthetics, most of the ships go unused by me.

Design: As per usual, I've been watching your work (you might remember me from your SoaSE page) and I think you should seek out companies to work for, your talents deserve to be realized by a company and paid for.

I'd personally recommend Cryptic as they are currently hosting their new Star Trek Online MMO and are in desperate need of people with your talents. As someone who plays STO - it would be nice to have someone of your talents inside.

Have you used any other mod before this one? It sounds like either a conflicting mod or your models and textures folders didn't end up where they should be. I replied to SWAT_150 about a week ago, you should try following the steps I gave him.

Cheathappens is a ridiculous cheat website and most of their trainers, tools and cracks are bugged anyway. Head on over to GameCopyWorld and pick up a trainer from there, it is where I always get mine and they work 100% without a hitch. I know that isn't really fixing your problem but trust me, you'll thank me if you take my advice.
