Description
Hello! I wanted to try my hand at a layered art project for the contest. It was my first time attempting something like this; I enjoyed the process and learned quite a bit doing so.
One of the bigger challenges was the scale of the project. I felt it would be more interesting to showcase a wider scene rather than closer view, but that of course made the characters much smaller to work with. Consideration had to be made to find a balance between the vertical arrangement of each element as well. An advantage however, was that it allowed me to study the amazingly detailed pixel art in this game close-up! <3
