I'm curious what program did you use to upscale the sprites? They're some i'd like to do myself. I'm using ImageResizer and any time I apply the desired effect the image looks good but it is not in proper pixel size. I'm basically trying to add on the desired effect of say HQ2X but still keeping the pixel size if that makes sense.

You were correct. I did a sort of vanilla run with very few mods. Essentially it got down to the ledge climb mod I was using seemed to be the culprit. Works fine now. Thank ya.

I was able to get the quad one to work. Like you said the quad has to use the reload function to switch. The dual action still seems to do nothing to the other shotguns however.

I'm really enjoying these expansion from PB to BD. Thank you for these. Just have one question; I can't seem to find or i'm not sure how to use the slug rounds for the shotgun(s). Is there something i'm missing like a upgradespawner like PB or is it a control? I ask because when I hit the special action button with the shotguns nothing happens.

Loving the mod, easily the best vanilla doom experience I have had by far. Have a question: Was something about the super shotgun changed at all (aside from the alternate fire of one shot each)? I use to never use the thing in vanilla doom, but here it seems like all the time I use it now (love it by the way).

Anyone know how to get the sprinting option to work? It should be in the BD game options if i'm not mistaken but all I see there is simply the reloading options for the game.

This is rather weird as I did what you said, backed up the file, started fresh, loaded the pk3's and yet without even touching a setting it still would not show. The damnedest thing. I'll tinker some more though. Thank you for the fast response sir.

I'm positive this is a issue on my end and was curious if anyone else had this. I for some reason don't get the flashlight anymore. I have dynamic lighting on so that's all still fine but I don't see the light anymore from the flashlight. I know it's actual there because the monsters still react as they usually would and I still see light from other sources such as torches or say fireballs from imps. Wondering if this is just me, as an FYI i'm using the latest GZdoom that came out today on the 11th.

For the record I like the OMEGA one the most now. Sounds more in touch with a robot voice but that's just my preference.

I only have ONE MINOR COMPLAINT with 1.80, and I feel like such a douche for saying this since I have loved your work since the first day it came out like a year a and a half ago. But I digress, the new voices for the HUD while nice, are very quiet compared to the "original" voice. I can barely hear them. That's my only issue. Other than that nitpick, I'm LOVING the "New Doom" graphic over the old one. It's more immersive to me, though I know others will prefer the old one simply because you can see more which is true. Excellent work as always sir, this is still my favorite HUD in gaming easy. Nice work. Again.

Exactly like KF2. I was trying to remember where I saw this done outside of movies. Pretty much any berserker weapon in KF2. I think Kill Bill had this in it too if im not mistaken. Ive been watching Tarantino lately so it might of popped in my head. I think it would be a cool little detail. Glad you like the idea.

I was playing with the chainsaw tonight, and thought of a little minor idea. What if when you reload with the chainsaw you did like a swipe animation that cleans the blood off of it by flinging it. Sort of like in the same vein when you see movies with katana wielders twist the blade and the blood flings off. I don't know just food for thought.

I've always looked at PB as if Brutal Doom is it's own game and PB is simply the sequel. It's Bigger, badder, still the same great game at it's core but better in just about every way. I love BD but it's a simpler experience which is not a lack of quality but I feel PB really pushes the boundary of what Classic Doom can do with some modern tweaks.

So the only thing i'm confused about with this is, I don't know which to use. There are 4 that come in the download so. I usually use the UDV mod, but with the new update to Project Brutality it comes with tradtional mode, I use another HUD for that. Here's my usually setup with the UDV mod:

Also, side note. Does the pump seem faster firing...? Feels like it a little bit. I don't mind but I can't shake the feeling that it is.

OOOHHHHHH I'm REALLY digging the new shotgun sprite. Looks meaner, bulkier, and ready to pack a punch. Very industrial look to it, love it. Perfect for this game. Since the pump shotgun from doom has always been my favorite video game weapon i'm absolutely stoked about the new look.

Hey By any chance does anyone have the Improved doom 1-2 brightmaps? I think the original pk3 links went down. I'm currently looking for it to add some glowing eyes and what not to some demons, since I play usually in the dark lighting setting from UDV mod.

I'm using the latest GZdoom dev build. I've had issues where it will load sometimes. However my biggest complaint is that it's not generating a new INI file in the directory. As a result I can't setup an autoload of my pk3 files. Let alone if it will launch, and sometimes it flat out doesn't usually has something to do with the UDV add on. Tonight was the first night I tried playing since I got W10 and i'm really regretting upgrading right now.

This has been my favorite game to play in quite some time and windows 10 looks like it botched it to all hell. I've even done a complete wipe of all my old folders and yet no INI file is created, makes no sense to me. Since some sort of INI has to be made for the game to save my settings on the very basic vanilla GZdoom settings such as screen resolution and things of that nature.

Damn Any of you guys running windows 10? I've been having nothing but issues with GZdoom since I upgraded. It won't create a INI file anymore every time I do a clean slate of GZdoom into a directory. Keep having all these really annoying issues with W10. And it really ****** me off.

I checked this out for myself. While I don't usually like to many of these megawads, this one is pretty solid. I think it works REALLY well with PB as a mod. Fully recommended. Another I personally like is Doom 2 reloaded. Though fair warning in the later levels on that one, it gets really hard to run the game in Brutal Doom or this mod. There's just way too much going on once you get to the last few levels.

Okay gotcha, I think the particle effect is the only thing I don't have in that setup. I use the ROG SWIFT PG278Q at 144hz refresh, and 2560 x 1440 resolution and G-sync on. The only effect 4k has on this game is really just HD textures but thats about it. I'll mess with the settings here in a bit for sure.
