You need a full version of Company of Heroes to play Eastern Front.
You are allowed to play CoH2 if you want to, you know :p
STEAM: CoH is on sale today; 80% off. Grab it while it's hot. Even if you have the retail version, you only need to buy the cheapest and your expansions will carry across.
We already have added a whole new British faction (Royal Marine Commandos) and several 'reward units' for existing CoH factions.
Just make sure you install the latest patch. Nice avatar by the way ;)
Sorry, we won't ever offer support for illegal versions of Company of Heroes. It is a widely available game from 6 years ago, I'm sure you could find it relatively cheap if you looked in the right places.
Most of them belong to the Ostheer, a new Axis faction which we are developing.
No, but I think they have more accessories and equipment models than when they were last shown.
No, unfortunately we both use different resources in different ways. You could try out our friends' mod N44 at the following link; they have mixed a degree of realism familiar to Blitzkrieg with more factions such as the Soviets familiar to Eastern Front.

Wow, this has come a long way since I last checked up on it! Can't wait to get my hands on the beta.
Thanks for voting guys - an even better MOTY Player's Choice position than last year!
Excellent work, congrats on second place in Player Choice!
You mean when you select Royal Marines as their reward unit? Yeah I think we had to take some coding shortcuts to allow for a 4-man starting squad of Engineers.
Brandenburgers already have their weapons when they parachute. Jagers are based on Gebirgsjagers.
They only speak English in the English version of the game.
In this version, there are Operations (scripted challenges that are similar to Skirmish), but we are also developing a Soviet campaign for future releases.
We don't need to include every single tank in the war.
We have made two entire armies made up of custom models, skins and modelmixes. The lag exists, but it's not noticeable unless you have a particularly slow computer.
The technique we have used is the same as what Relic use I believe. While they don't appear correctly in the renderer we have used, they will be circular in game ;)
That load time seems excessive. I think that EF should take longer to load than vanilla, but not that much longer. What are your PC specs (inlcuding hard drive speed)?
Costs of individual abilities and upgrades will be decided during the balance beta.
Reminds me of the old war movies. Nice work!
It's all related.
If you haven't got a copy of Company of Heroes yet, you can get it really cheap from Steam this weekend only!
You haven't installed EF into the correct directory. Install it in the same place as RelicCOH.exe
Yes you can. Just make sure you patch Company of Heroes to 2.602
If it patches to 2.602 then yes. Otherwise, no.
I'm fairly sure it uses call-in units, but AI isn't my field.

I have been modding pretty much since I first started PC gaming. I had been hop-scotching between projects on Pirates of the Caribbean, Call of Duty 2, Civilization IV to build up my graphical skills and understanding of games. For several years, I was focused on Company of Heroes, being a 2D graphic designer for Company of Heroes: Eastern Front.
