Tenebris Lake: FATAL ERROR COULD NOT INIT STEAM (FIX) !!!

Go to your Amnesia folder, and then the subfolder tenebrislake_config

Open the file main_init.cfg and look for this:
DefaultMainSettings = "config/default_main_settings.cfg"

Underneath that line, add this line:
DefaultMainSettingsSDL2 = "config/default_main_settings_sdl2.cfg"

Go back into Steam and right-click Amnesia: The Dark Descent and choose Properties.
Choose Set Launch Options... and paste this:
tenebrislake_config/main_init.cfg
Click OK and close the Properties window.

Now launch Amnesia from inside Steam (NOT from the folder). Tenebris Lake will start right up.

Hello, there seems to be a problem me and quite some other people have with the FC mod 'Tenebris Lake' for Amnesia the Dark Descent. Many including myself have the error: FATAL ERROR: Could not init steam!

Please help.

I get a fatal error could not init steam. Maybe the recent Amnesia patch fked the FC up? Otherwise i could use some advise/help. I've already tried redownloading amnesia,the FC,etc. Can't get it to work.
