You mean you just export a ref file of a DoW2 mesh and then FFE the dow1 animations to it?
Or do you actually use FFE to directly copy animations from dow2 .anim files onto dow1 whm/whe? :)
Don't worry any of the terrabytes of backported models wont end up in public mods.
Every back port is to test out the plausibility of themed clones using the DOW engine as an entertainment and cognitive development tool.
Accentuating differing ideas and ideologies based around what is possible with the DOW engine. :)
There is something called "Themed Clones" that I have been doing for a lot more years then some of these developers today have been alive.
I am too juvenile in my development of the DOW engine yet to be releasing public themed clones, I need to learn a lot more skills.
So for now I develop the graphical assets for the purposes of later on.
If I loose net.
If I run out of development.
If I get a complete development knowledge and have teh time to be able to work on the "Themed Clones".
I am way to busy to put out a themed clone at this point. :)
Which reminds me Sakura, would you like to pick up any DOW engine Modding? Like you see others of us so?
I would as I can model and program a bit on it but never did anything on a large scale. I have made three Custom heroes and made a couple of Models of Skaven for fun but as far as joining a team I wouldn't have the time as of now to commit to something like that. ALso I am not nearly as good or Experienced as the modders on UA, TWM, Codex etc, and would be worried that I would bring you guys down. I dunno shoot me a PM and tell me what you had in mind.
Every contribution to the community in general is a good thing, some members of the DoW community appear only with some new things after being away for long periods and still it is valuable work. Modders are usually doing something else on a daily basis like me (i study and work). In fact, in the praetorian mod some female voices should be necessary at least to the female logican, since thudmeizer told me there were few female voices already recorded.
@ Green Scorpion and RT2. Yes Yes I get that but what do you guys need the most? And would this be for Praetorians or UA or what? I just need details I don't work on guess work hee hee. Like what would you want or need me to work on the most?
For example if you were interested in coding and have a copy of Soulstorm, we could work together I would do coding for DC Praetorian and with some indications you could do the same for SS (just an example). Also working in modding never requires working with any specific team, you could work with me and RT2 in any kind of modding we do, not fixed to any mod. I am currently doing my own mod: Moddb.com
But i am also trying to contribute to the community by helping a bit with other work. If you wish i could make a list of things you could work on and you then choose what you prefer. Also i am more a coder but i am trying to learn with RT2 and others enough to become a general purpose modder, still time is always short.
Well I would like to think I am pretty good with Corsix. I also own Poser as well which can be an asset I think. My biggest issue at the moment is time as I have been asked by a couple of people to join, like voice work etc. I am getting married here soon and about a week and a half ago a major side project came up so those things along with my career take precedence. I will give it consideration but not until my Wedding and honeymoon are over will I have an Answer fair enough? :3
By then i will probably have started my summer holidays so modding will be occupying a great part of the time studies occupy now. Yeah having some 3D programs and knowledge is always good so one of these days i will send you some modding sugestions and you can contact me when you have the free time exactly what you propose yourself to do. Prepare cause if i let my ideas flow for 5 minutes the list will take you days to read.

Its just a ref to me or a msgr/mslc.
Once you gte the body/bone sync everything else is taken care of for you. :)
Dow2 anims are a bit fake for me.
And with the amount fo DOW animation sets there is almost nothing you cant port across.
Like teh looted predator scream Predator from dow1, any of teh variants, then it is just a FX workout. :P
