Don't use the crappy Desura client to play the game. Download the zip file from he right, extract it to the desktop, and play.

I regret the day I purchased Block Story from Desura. But at that time it was the only way to buy Block Story for PC.

If we purchased Block Story through Desura, would it possible to also download it direct from BlockStory.com? Desura is crap.

Try downloading Revo Uninstaller and fully uninstalling the game/Desura with it. Make sure you check the option to remove all left over registry entries and files. Then download CCleaner and run the Registry cleanup tool. Reboot and reinstall the game. See if this helps.

I would also suggest installing the stand-alone version instead of installing through the Desura client.

NOTE: Revo Uninstaller may remove your saved games. Make sure you sync them to DropBox before uninstalling.

When you launch the game it should give you the option to change the resolution. Otherwise you will need to edit the registry.

Open regedit and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mindblocks\Block Story. Double click on Screenmanager Resolution Height. On the right side select Decimal under Base and in the box for Value data: enter the resolution height you want. Do the same for Screenmanager Resolution Width. 640x480 = Width x Height

I've tried that. If I click and hold it only moves one item not the whole stack like it used to.

The crafting table is a nice update with the ability to move items from your person with a quick switch. But it's the main playing interface that has went backwards. The most difficult part for me to get used to is the reduction of quick access items. At any time I could press 1-7 and cycle through my most commonly used items very quickly. This feature has been reduced to 4.

Another major issue that just completely got me frustrated was that if i had multiple items I could not left click that group of items and then right click to drop one. Instead I was having to click a single item and move it to where I needed it to go. Do you have any idea how long this would take to move 2000-3000 items from my list into a chest? This may be a bug but very annoying.

For me, the new interface has become more useless than helpful and the game is not as enjoyable. I will stick with 7.0.2 until the interface becomes more useful for me in future releases.

As for change, I welcome change as long as the changes increase the playability of the game not decrease it.

PS. I'm talking about the PC version, haven't upgraded it on my Android yet.

The new version is terrible. The devs should spend more time fixing bugs than screwing up the interface. I got so tired of fiddling with the interface I gave up on it and went back to the previous buggy version. The new interface is practically useless.

The attack timer has gotten to be utterly annoying. It seems to get longer with every new release.

Or download the stand-alone version. Less trouble than worrying about someone's client.

I purchased the game last week after playing it on my Nexus 10. I am anxious to try version 5 but have not been able to find the download for it. So far it doesn't appear that Desura has placed the stand-alone files on the server yet and I don't want to download their client.
