We hardly had a problem with him not preferring that style. I don't understand you people trying to white knight for us.

Not really. People make passing opinions all the time. It's hardly a rude thing to do. To be honest, I was a never a fan of the DoV style menu. Simply covers up too much for me and I've always preferred the screen not to cover up by a bunch of bars and have the game in the background.

Only thing worth looking for is redone cutscenes from Halo 2 Anniversary. Everything else is pretty much worthless to me.

You use particle effects. Animations aren't new, just that STA3 is the only team that has put serious effort into this (well only one that has the capacity).

Though you have to admit, saucer separation for a Galaxy Class in actuality didn't provide that much of a real tactical advantage apart from unique tricks pulled in TNG.

The Saucer section being incapable of warp meant you sacrificed freedom of movement and required to reconnect if you wanted to run or chase (Provided you weren't willing to sacrifice everyone in the saucer). The two pieces were large and bulky unlike the Prometheus's small and nimble (as well as warp capable) three. Given the fact that you could just focus the (now slightly less powerful) lower engine half and leave the Saucer section as a sitting duck.

Sure you can pull off some nice tricks with the feature but I am pretty sure it's primarily meant on a Galaxy Class to be taken as a life boat as well as test bed of sorts for the Prometheus. I would not try to perform saucer separation in actual combat.

CBS is actually really lax about the Star Trek IP as long as you don't make money from it. They're certainly the loosest with the IP unlike others like Halo, ME, BSG, and etc. Granted there are exceptions of what you can do but you can run with the general rule of thumb and most likely not get into trouble for it.

We can't even put Halo in our mod title let alone reference an older game.

This is like when people thought SoA2 and STA3 should have merged. Different people with different visions of what they want a 40k mod to be. You may think they could combine but in many ways they're probably very different.

Again this is the lowest of calculations from the movies. Most other sources point towards very high values greater than 450 Kilotons of TNT including the Movies themselves.

"If a more conservative Falcon length of 40 meters is used, as above, then the asteroid must be around 80 meters in diameter. It would require at least 16,000 terajoules for vaporisation. The bolt's energy would be delivered at a rate of at least 240,000 terawatts."
16,000 terajoules is the equivalent of 3824 Kilotons of TNT.

Sorry meant 200 Gigatons of TNT.

Well you try calculating yields from the movie and come back. But someone has done that for you here: Stardestroyer.net

Taking a really conservative calculation of 250 terajoules. That's the equivalent of 59.7 kilotons of TNT. Of course various other sources within the movies as well would point that turbolasers are much more potent than that.

Very few universes can compare to SW due to how brokenly overpowered it is. The ME Universe is at the very low end of power to the point where the UNSC from Halo could rip ME apart with nearly double the output at 64 Kilotons of TNT for a standard frigate MAC.

Correlian Corvettes still have shields and armor plating (albeit not much) so they don't just blow up from a single turbolaser hit.

ISD2/Allegiance wins by a land slide. ME Dreadnoughts and fighters were able to kill a Reaper but then you realize an ME Dreadnought fires a measly 38 Kilotons worth of TNT. Meanwhile the Acclamator troop transport fires 200 Gigatons worth of energy from a single turbolaser turret let alone ISD/Allegiance yields.

Use the enabled mods text rather than the ingame menu. If not working then redownload since moddb has a way with corrupt downloads.
