Well, FH2 has a lot more detail than the mother game-- BF2. Just because it is old doesn't automatically translate to having great fps.

Please give us your PC specs, I'd be curious to see them!

Try to find some ammo pickup kits, those should provide additional ammo to some vehicles (by throwing them near the vehicle, of course).
