It's not an error. Thats the intro screen. We haven't implemented features that will make that a little more user friendly. If you hit enter, It will continue to the game if the server is up. If it doesn't continue, the server isn't up. Keep an eye on our website to see if the server is up.

We are going for similarity, not creative designs.
Your idea is great maybe for future development once all the original stuff is done, but we are trying to make this as much as possible identical to the original Pokemon games, with the added twist of being online with your friends. =)
