Disregard...I figgered it out.

I just started getting this fatal error msg:

Help! I keep getting CTD's with the following error. It has happened on the Military Warehouses level and the Truck Park. Does anybody know how to work around this problem. I've tried reloading from quick saves and hard saves with no luck.

I'm noticing a new problem...when I change my Atmosfear3 settings and save them, they change again the next time I reload a quicksave. I have tried doing a hardsave immediately after changing the parameters, but it hasn't helped. The game runs fine, it just won't save my changed settings. Anyone else had this problem?

Doh!...I figured it out (thanks to SilentEagle). The M4A1 has replaced the LR300 (in OWR3), but there is no M4A1 .ltx file in the gamedata folder. It is still called the lr300.ltx! I confirmed this by changing the weight and ammo parameters in the lr300.ltx and the changes were reflected in the M4A1 carried in my inventory.

Still can't find separate parameters...unless the LR300 has been replaced by the M4A1 and it's still called the LR300 in the .ltx files?!

First off...thanks to all for the great work! The mod runs fairly smoothly and looks beautiful, especially the 'truck park' level. I have experienced a few sudden ctd's, but have been able to reload to the last save and carry on without further delay, so I'm not too worried.

I installed OWR3 and it has been working well. My only question (problem) is that I salvaged a M4A2 from a dead body, but when I went into the gamedata files to slightly mod the weapon, I couldn't find a M4A2 .ltx file anywhere. I also looked in other weapons files, but couldn't find any M4A2 parameters anywhere. I know that OWR3 is not your mod, but can anyone help me find the file or parameters?

Lito.LV - Thank you for putting my mind at ease! I would have still played thru to see the new quests, but I really like the load-out I have now, and I don't really want to have to build it up all over again.

You're right about reading older posts. I was just bored and decided to see what others might be saying about the mod.

Holy Schnikeys! I gather from reading your early Slayer postings on GSC Game World that when you go to Zaton from the Marshes you lose everything and start over with just a basic vanilla CoP loadout. Is this correct? What happens to whatever you've been able to equip up to that point? Can you stash it in the Marshes and come back for it or are you locked out of the non CoP maps 4-ev-er? What about the roubles? Do you lose your money too? Say it isn't so!...

Please do! I can't wait to play the vanilla maps after completing the new (old) maps. To me that's why this mod is so cool...I get to play a little of SoC, CS and CoP all in the same game. The more the merrier is what I say...

BTW, is there freeplay after completing the last mission?

Thanks again! After taking a long needed break, I came back, reloaded the level, and played it again. It took a very long time for Huron's squad to arrive, but they finally did. (I think I just wasn't patient enough the first time!) It worked out just as you said, and I completed the quest when I took out the helo later. I am really digging all the chances for shooting up the bad guys...I hope there's a lot more of that to come! (I played your all-in-one of 'The Way to Pripyat' and really liked it, except for the fact there wasn't enough Stalker vs. Stalker combat to keep things exciting. What's the fun in building up a great arsenal and only having 4 or 5 enemies in most levels to take out!?)

Thanks for the reply. I do remember you saying that the mod was fairly stable but that the occasional CTD could be cured by reloading an earlier save. Things were just going so well that I kinda freaked out...too much radiation I guess :)

Now I'm reaaaly stuck/confused. I took the mission to meet with the Duty guys in the Wild Territory to trap and kill Huron. Everything goes well (lots of shooting!!!) until after I meet the Duty leader at the ambush site. As soon as I agree to his plan, I get the yellow marker where I'm supposed to wait and ambush the Monolith. I wait, and wait, and wait some more and nothing happens. After about 15 real-time minutes of waiting, I reload a quicksave. After a 3 or 4 minute wait, the Monolith shows up and starts a gun battle with the Duty guys instead of meeting them. When it's all over, all the Monolith and all but one Duty are dead but there's no Huron or his corpse. The mission doesn't update, it just tells me to meet the Duty squad. Any help, or am I missing something?

Nevermind, I just reloaded an earlier save and now I was able to enter the underground...shoulda done that first I guess!

I'm lovin' this mod BTW. So far, it's pretty stable (this was the first CTD) and it looks great. Thanks for the all-in-one...chances are that I never would have tried it otherwise!

I thought it was about time that I said thanks for all the time and effort you have put into your translations and all-in-ones. It is most definitely appreciated. Because of your efforts, I have had the pleasure of experiencing CoP in ways that the original lacked. I have literally played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (in one form or another) almost every day since SoC was first released. (If I had a dollar for every hour I've spent in the zone I would be a very rich man indeed!) Because you take the time to translate and compile these mods, we've been able to keep the game fresh and enjoyable.

Also appreciated is your willingness to help when problems are encountered or we get stuck completing a task during gameplay. It's obvious that you're a fan, and not just out to see your name posted all over the internet.

So, on behalf of all us cyber-Stalkers everywhere...THANK YOU! Keep up the good work.

HELP! I'm stumped and can't go any further...I have been using the the 'spacial anomoly' on the southern plateau in Zaton to travel to the Agroprom. The last time I used it, I suddenly ended up in the Dark Valley emerging from the tunnel in the yard behind the plant. All the occupants of the plant are already enemies when I show up. The problem is that the bad guys are invincible. I pumped 20 headshots of AP into one of the roof guards and he just stood there and took it. When I tried to go over the barricade to get out of the yard, the troops all react to me, but are also invincible. There's so many of them that it is impossible to jump the barricade and make a dash for the gate. Also, I was given the mission to meet some guy. I never took the mission, and wasn't ready to go into the dark valley yet. Can I get out of the plant and back to Zaton without playing the underground mission right now, or do I have to go back to a save point and start over? Other than this crap-storm, I'm really enjoying the mod!

Awesome mod! I want to install the Argus texture pack, but I can't find a download site that works. (I tried the .ru site, but it's all in Russian (suprise!) and I can't figure it out, and the Blackbyte site is down.)
