Personally, I'm against the NG.
Yeah, I always dreamed to play a game and live in it, but I think it is too dangerous. Technology should never get involved directly with our brain. With NG you can cut the connection of the brain with the body and send sense data to it. The NG isn't controlling the brain, it's just sending "harmless" data. But this tech is too close to be controlling not only your senses, but your thought as well, and even you're body. Brain controlling sounds like sci-fi, but how many times have we surpass sci-fi with the technology...
Also, NG will surely cause long term illness and damage the brain. We have not clue how many people it could kill just by testing it.
And what kind of government would accept something like that in its country. It would be sell on black market.
We should not mess with the brain, even more we aren't not brain expert.
Also, what tell us that our brain and heart can actually deal with the load of information that comes from a game like SAO.
The stress would be worst than when you wake brutally from a dream after being killed by a 20 meter t-rex. And if it comes to another type of game than SAO, like a FPS, just imagine what kind of desensitization about war and violence it could cause if you kill someone with your own virtual hands, it's not like a mouse click.

Anyway, this is my opinion on why I think NG is against ethics (and there's much people with the same opinion with better arguments than I have).
It is a wonderful dream, but it should stay a dream. :/

This just made my heart shudder, you do have a point there, but I dont think that's a very good idea, we've already put up a lot of work into this, nearly an year, and joining someone else would just put it to waste. But what you said has a point.

I just saw previous comments of pessimists coming to this website. Im not that old and I know how to program, model characters and bit more than that. Yes I am a kid. I like doing this, I enjoy doing this, and all of us are working here together as a team, we are trying to achieve something which may be ahead of time, but we have many minds combined together on this and we do have a shot on this. You know what, we will create SAO, no matter how many years it take, along with the nerve gear. We have a team of people working towards the same goal, all wanting the same thing, to actually create Virtual Reality, well guess what, we have already been working on this for a long time, and we are gonna achieve this, no matter what.

Take your time bud, nice work BTW. Even doing that much is a lot at this point. That is truly some excellent work you did. Even if the rate is slowed down, we are not in a hurry at all, we have plenty of time in our hands.

Going to download 3DS Max 2012 student edition tomorrow to start on the models, made some sketches today for an overall view. Read books and stuff on virtual reality and also some programming, working hard on this, and will keep doing to do so until we make this game.

We are gonna take that as a consideration, very nice idea. Thanks!

Downloaded Cry engine 3, and am gonna start working on some NPC models, and gonna upload them within a week, going to work as hard as I can. Ill also start working on some swords which I've sketched, but they'll probably be without the textures, anyways, you'll get some NPC models within a week.

Neonowl, you are very right. There are very many cons to our goal. There are many security hazards, but the thing is, what we are focusing on right now is creating the game and the NG. After the creation of those things, we can start worrying about the hazards and security and what not. Right now our only focus is on creating this game and creating the Nerve gear.

Callum, ure right about the internet and the amount of hackers and their abilities. Callum we are a company, and we are at one point gonna put some money into this, we have to. We will need the most highest type of security on this game to make sure it stays protected and nobody is able to hack it. When we have the ability to donate, that money will go in funding for the security. Also the money can be used for making other functions for the game or the hardware or even an office for all the people in the company, especially the people working for SAO.

I canbe thr lead NPC designer, since that post is open, I can do it, Nd I wanna join the company too, because what you guys are doing is what I was thinking of doing and was ginna stRt, but I was alone znd I had no scope, but then thrtres a group doing what I have been thinking of doing for a long timr. Callum, I just read ur reply, you are right to an extent, and I know that we have to face the facts, but at this point, the developers of SAO have been workimg on the game for nesrly an yesr or more than that, and being pessemistic, even though ure saying the facts, isint gonna help. Im not saying ure wromg but just dont the discourager at this point, they need as much motivation as possible at this point of time.

I know what they're working on, but guys, we are working on something totally different, the dream of more that 200,000 people, SAO! and we are working our ***** of for completing this, and im telling you we will do this. If i dont get to work for the development of the game then the least i can do is research for the nerve gear. I will help in creating the nerve gear if i dont get to work for the game development

Azuna, take your time in this and we can all do this together, we can make the nerve gear and the game, all the people over here stop bugging her, let her take her time, this game is vast and as youve seen thes guys are already working their ***** off and have been working for over an year on this game, and i dont think you should bother them. Its not very likely to complete right now, neither the NG or the game, atleat 2-3 years, it takes time, have patience, it will come no matter what, im already learning programming so that i can work with these guys in developing SOA :)

Im working on my skills for programming right now and learning everything because i wanna help make this game, i dont wanna sit my lazy *** and wait, i also wanna help, if not the game then im atleast gonna help in making the nervegear as im already researching on how to make it. it will take 2-3 years to make this gmae, as youve seen its already been nearly an year and you should stop asking when its gonna come out, these guys are working their ***** off and providing us with what they can, i dont think we should bother them.
