Guys - we had a lot of questions about activating your game on Steam, as well as on Desura. If you purchased the game on Desura - you can also activate on Steam using the same CD key. Just follow these instructions:

1. Open the Steam client
2. Click on the "Games" menu
3. Choose the "Activate a Product on Steam" option
4. Follow the instructions and agree to the Steam Subscriber Agreement
5. Enter your current Dawn of Fantasy game key when prompted
6. Be sure to remove dashes - from your CD key as you enter it
7. Follow the prompts to begin installation

There is no official announcement about this as it`s highly ineffective at reaching these who got a CD key but didn`t install the game - we don`t have any contact information, and they don`t check our website.

There will be a way for everyone interested to get a Steam key. Aside from automatically providing the key to players who have registered inside the game, we will also add a tool on our website where users could enter their current CD key and get a Steam key emailed to them.

Yes, however only these who install the game and register in-game account by February 20th

DoF has been complete for a while now, and Steam release is finally scheduled for later this February. And we always work on free expansion packs and constantly adding free updates to the game - usually one update per week, with a free expansion or event every couple of months

Sorry guys doesn`t look like we`ll be able to add a demo in the near future.

And it looks like it`ll be a great year for Dawn of Fantasy. After a hard 2012 - with almost weekly patches fixing and polishing the basics of the game, we are finally free to start adding awesome new content - starting from Dragon Invasion and Siegeworks expansion early this year!

Thanks for reporting this, I passed the word to the development team to fix this. Really minor issue though - extra hitpoints are usually a good thing:)

Make sure that DoFUpdater.exe Dawn.exe and DoF.exe is not blocked by your firewall, and try disabling your anti-virus. Also make sure you have latest .Net framework installed - you can googld that

Almost everything you do in-game gives your crowns:
-each solo or CoOp quests gives between 5 to 2 crowns.
-Laying siege to NPC towns in CoOp or solo should net you around 6 crowns
-PvP usually gives 2-10 for loosing, and 4-20 for winning.
-Unlocking each achievements gives you 5 crowns
Usually player can get 60 crowns in 3 hours of active play. I won`t recommend buying crowns with real money unless you want to get some extra heroes, Dragons or Dwarves - but you can just get all that in a couple of days of PvP.

Just checked and there are plenty of keys left so everything should be working.

You`d need to login to your Desura account through Ipad web browser and get the copy - I hop that works, never tried that myself. If it doesn`t work you still have nearly 30 hours to get your free copy.

Yes - we have already confirmed this with Steam. All of our players will have their key activated on Steam. We are hoping to get Greenlit on November 30th - seeing how DoF is # 2 on Greenlight right now, and released by mid December.

Haha well said! Lets be honest though - games like Total War look much better and have sexier units. But... We are very proud of our level design and the way the game world comes to life. Seeing Great Elven forest during a thunderstorm or seeing epic Denwall stronghold at sunset can only be matched by a few recent RTS games.
