That's my case, but maybe, if you have only one Steam account on your PC, the Half-Life folder may be located in "Your User Name" folder, instead of the "common" folder.

It must be put in the Half-Life folder. From the Steam folder, follow this path: steamapps > common > Half-Life. If you have already installed it elsewhere, move it to Half-Life folder.

Could you fix the sound of shoes on the floor when you jump? It seems that the headcrab is wearing shoes.

The original model is much more better, in my opinion.

Hi Dav! I'm working on "Point of View" and "Azure Sheep" to translate the whole games in Italian language. How can I get in touch with you? I'd like to explain you what I intend to translate and get your permission to release the Italian version. It would make them work properly for those users who have got the Italian version of Half-Life ("Azure Sheep" in particular). Some sounds are not played with the Half-Life Italian pak0.pak file, since it's organized in a different way which is incompatible with some strings in the Sentences.txt file. I'd fix everything with the Italian version. I tried to contact you by the e-mail address you published on the POV official website, but it seems undeliverable.

But do you need to have Steam installed? I don't have Steam! I tried to install it on my sisters' PC with Steam and it worked. Anyway, the authors should write the setup instructions in the "Download" section and also specify you need to have Steam installed.

But the exe file doesn't work properly. When I have to select the components I want to install, it doesn't let me select the mod components and nothing is installed. How does it work?

It's all automatic. You only have to install it.
