I'm currently playing Amnesia primarily, and so I joined so that I may access a greater amount of custom stories and a community who plays them.

The maps are done. Sad thing is I lost internet back at the beginning of June (parents couldn't afford to keep it on ._.) so progress is all but stopped. I plan to get back to work on it eventually but whereas previously I was going to have it done by the end of summer, now not only is it not finished but I have to balance it with school and work...

Felt you deserved the truth of the matter however.

I think that there's not enough linking evidence between the monsters and the castle, and that it does not make sense for Andrew to break into the castle to investigate further as the gain is not enough. I would consider giving him a greater amount of evidence that the monsters are related to the castle and maybe a greater amount of motivation. Maybe something is taken from him by the monsters, and he follows a trail leading back to the castle. Obviously, it has to be something rather valuable to him, but as it stands there is not enough reason for Andrew to investigate.

Oil was perfect. I had enough oil to get me through being stuck in the storage area (looking for the hammer) and in the Dungeon (Looking for the aqua regia). I did experience lag in the dungeons, but my computer is the epitome of a bad computer to play Amnesia on, so I wouldn't fret about it.

For me, the game's all about the world. I spend hours wandering corners and crevices, and I want there to be more to it than just hallways or randomly placed trees.

Made it to storage in the east wing so far. I love the level design elements. Detailing has been done well, and atmosphere as far as agreement between map and sound is spot on. However two things I have noted and that have annoyed me: The recycling of Amnesia: The Dark Descent flashback sound bytes and the lack of a proper threat. I love exploring. Probably my favorite thing to do in Amnesia, but I do make it a point to note whether or not I feel like I'm being threatened, and so far I have not. I feel as though I'm playing hide and seek with the monster, only I'm the one seeking and he's too good for me.

There are instructions for steam users in the news section. If that doesn't work, then I'm afraid I can't tell you what's wrong. I'm not good with the installation, just the in-game stuff. Ionut will have to tell you more.

Ladders room? I'm not sure I know what you're talking about. Which dialogue with August was it?

I wish I could help you bud. I'm pretty bad with computer stuff like this. I only help people with solving puzzles or in game issues.

Which area are you in?
You should probably verify that you have Justine installed first and foremost, as if it's not then your folders will be missing ptest models, textures, and sounds.

I don't have such permissions to delete comments, but I have been replying to comments by players asking for help finding the way when they become lost. He is fixing bugs, and he does care. He's worked for a lengthy amount of time to develop a unique piece. The person he's commenting on right now used a low review to try to force him to turn on running speed sooner in the game. Since we began talking to her, she's decided that it was not completely fair and changed her review to something a bit more fair, though definitely not good. As for bugs, he released an update the day after the original release trying to fix these holes that people get stuck in. These are holes which I and a few other beta testers never fell into, and so were never acknowledged. Criticism is fine, I love criticism, and I criticize Ionut all the time. But I always show him respect and acknowledge the things that he's done well. Can you say the same mister "Raging Child?"

I have the store bought version and I followed the instructions and it worked for me. You must be doing something wrong. But don't worry, most people who can't play correctly blame the game, so you're the average joe.

There's a door to the left of the double doors, you open it with the key you find on the desk in the country house. It's on the left end of the desk by the edge.

Run farther up hill, jump the fallen tree, and progress.

Not sure why it would do that. Have you noticed anything else strange? Missing floors, ceilings, walls, textures, etc?

Happens to be the producer's serious relationship girl friend, but I'm sure it's just the recording program combined with the Romanian accent that deceived you.

Also, I watched your video. You didn't notice that the Main hall was extremely similar to the one in Amnesia:The Dark Descent. Also you missed a tinderbox on the stairs leading from the starting hall. You can just see it before you walk past it.

The voice actress was female, I assume that it is misinterpreted because the recording software was not the same as with Gabriel and August.

Also, your link takes me to my uploads page, not your video.

In this section of the game the character is restricted to walking as he is injured. Only at the point where you retrieve the first laudanum in the Library are you able to run and jump as normal. The pacing is the purpose for the walking, and it goes very well for areas such as the mansion area where many flashbacks occur.

Oil potions are rare, you don't really need them too often. There is one in the cellar of the pub, and another in August's house. If you got to the stairway and door part, and assuming you have justine properly installed, you have to find the door with the two lion statue's surrounding it. It's literally at the end of the path.

I'm glad I could help. If you need any other help in the future, seek me out again. I'd like to do this stuff more regularly. I have a post in the writer's section of the forum.

Also I beta test games and mods. I'm good at it as I take notes, report glitches, and am usually very thorough.

I encountered a fatal error when I attempted to throw the hand drill and the flower across the hole. Prior to that, it was a very interesting mod, neat ideas, interesting level design, and great choices in ambiance.

It's a sad thing, the death of a loved one. On the evening of his mother's passing, a courier delivered a letter to Damion. It was his inheritance. As he read the letter, he was shocked to find that he had inherited his great grandfather's estate. An entire prussian castle, far out in the country. He struggled to understand why his mother had chosen for his family, for Damion, to struggle through life when they were entitled to an entire castle. He suspended the thought.

As Damion arrived at his new estate, he was overjoyed. He could not possibly believe that after such a poor life, feeding on scraps of bread, sleeping in rags, living in a hovel of a house, he would be able to live like a lord! But it was getting late. Perhaps it was his cheer which countered the sense of dread which usually plagued those who entered this forelorn castle. It was getting too dark for him to navigate the halls, and so he took up residence in the nearest bed he could find and drifted off to sleep.
Damion had never had trouble sleeping before. He did not stir easy, and yet he was afflicted by nightmares, creatures of death haunted him, and he could not escape their cold grasp. Suddenly, he was awoken by a scream. It was the kind of sound that caused him to wonder whether it had come from his nightmare or reality, and yet he was almost sure that it came from the depths of the castle.
In a sort of trance Damion stumbled down steps which seemed vaguely familiar, into a cold, damp cellar. In the darkness, he was able to make out a shelf, which sat in an awkward position in the middle of the room. Only as he approached it did he realize that there had been a room behind it. He had to go inside, it pulled him in. A sort of squish sounded from his rear, and he turned quickly around to find that a strange fleshy mass had sealed him in. It was too late to turn back. He had to move forward.
The insanity had begun.

This is the story of a man who bought a castle in the forest...
However, during his first night he began having nightmares, and suddenly he was awoken by a scream emanating from the cellar. He hesitantly made his way down into the darkest part of his new home to find the source of the scream, but discovers instead that a shelf has been displaced and a secret room revealed. As he passed the shelf into this strange recess of the cellar, he was trapped inside! A strange slimy substance appeared and blocked his way out... He had no other choice than to progress, farther into the darkness...
And the insanity began...

That's better, but still a bit choppy. I would consider giving the man a name, the castle a name (as castles aren't just lying around), also it might be better to have the man inherit the castle, unless he's on forbes 400.
