Ooh, what to say? Veteran of Internet forurms, now here to sit and boast about my World of Tanks prowess every blue moon (though my stats call me above-average). Talk if you wish, you’ll get a reply but don’t expect me to be nice.
I shit you not, this is the face for EVERY infantry unit.
lol
Polish Paras, they will scare you to death.
The game was rushed to release. Infantry was supposed to have better quality models & more randomizing.
For something more interesting look at the Soviet Naval Spetsnaz or at the Spetsnaz VMF infantry models.
I can tell it was rushed for release, the game pretty much released as a beta product.
I suggest you check out the Canadian Pathfinders, if they have yet to patch it (it's been around for about 12 patches) you should get a cheap laugh.
Are you talking about the C1A1 chambered for the Boys AT bullets? It has been around since the closed beta.
No, the C2A1 CQC machine gun.
Same thing, the C2A1 wasn't modelled the right way because of time constrains. There are even other problems with the game:
1. Czechoslovakian army uses NVA's Konkurs BRDM2,
2. The AI bluntly cheats and even teleports some units & CV's into battle,
3. Half of the planes used by the Polish People's Army weren't even brought,
4. NVA sturmpionere use twin RPG7's fitted with napalm warheads, those weapons were experimental and not fielded widely,
5. BMPT was not created before 2008, making it heavily anachronistic,
6. The Polish 7th Naval Assault Division based at Gdańsk would have assaulted the NATO position via Denmark, not via airdropping to Norwegian rear,
7. Some of the Warsaw Pact OOB's are horrendously wrong, e.g. the 7th should have more Grad-P's then 2S1's and the Poles in reality didn't depend THAT heavily on specialized helicopters.
8. The Soviets are using Mi-4 helicopters with FFAR configuration in 1985...
9. The entire campaign was supposed to take place in a second Warsaw Pact offensive aganist the NATO in 1989. The story was remade and simplified due to the time constrains.
But you can see the C2A1 on the Vandoos.
No need to list the problems with the game, I know most of them. Though the AI one is worrying as the AI in EE was quite well done.
The earliest I can pin a BMPT prototype is 1997, which means most modern MBTs would be liable prototypes too.
The campaign in it's current state is just terrible.
I'll never understand why they didn't just move it back more, they had already shifted it quite a lot.
Because the impact of realese is important, you can't postpone the reldate a second time.
With time there may be some DLC's that'll fix the problem. Right now it is a half-baked game just like 70% of games from our current times.
I didn't even know when it was going to release when they changed it.
Hopefully and they do have a good history of free DLC. The difference with most games now which are like that, Eugen will put the effort in to make the game 100% as fast as possible.
I agree.
BTW, you ever tried Act of War: Direct Action and Act of War: High Treason? Both made by Eugen Systems. Good political thriller RTS if you ask me. One of a kind.
What game is this from?
Wargame: AirLand Battle.
