Re-rendering all of the buildings in the game is nearly impossible as the required files are not easy to find or nonexistent. Additionally, making buildings larger would cause issues for the AI as they are designed to work with the smaller buildings.
Smaller buildings is a design choice to help make units and buildings more distinguishable from each other; this was especially important when games were played on 640x480 or 800x600 resolution. I don't have any intention of changing the size of buildings.

I'm not sure what could be the issue. Those campaigns are original and not modified, and they don't have any issues on my side. Does the issue occur with the other old campaigns?

5thLegacy uses 75 population for balancing/gameplay reasons. It is still possible to play with 200 population in multiplayer.

I generally try to keep the original graphics when possible, unless as alternate upgrades like Silver Cavalry or Cedar Frames.
I'm not sure, but I believe AoE2 unit graphics aren't the right size for AoE1. Additionally, I'm not sure adding an alternate graphic upgrade for Legions would work very well; it was difficult enough to have Cataphracts with alternate graphics.

Unfortunately that's not something I can fix. I'll ask the author of UPatch about it, but nothing is guaranteed. Alternatively, you can use a control group for your Trade Workshops (groups 8 or 9 would probably work best).

Yes, Philistines can't build Wonders; its intended as a civilization weakness.
I was not aware of the incorrect name, thank you for pointing it out. I did get some leader names from other people and some were not the original English names; however, I did adjust many before putting them into the game, but I must have missed the Bactrian ones.

Things like rain and snow can be disruptive or hard on the eyes, so it wasn't a good idea to add them to standard games.

Mods have their own language settings and is separate from UPatch's settings, so I would have to distribute the mod with the new language file.

What do you mean by "updated stuff"?
There are two versions: Expanded and the default version. The Expanded version has lots of new units and features that are not included in the default version and can be used in Random Map games (like the Elite units and Women).

AoE1 uses complete data mods, which means everything is replaced. So, if I make a farm mod, it would have either RoR balance or UPatch HD; that would be determined by the farm mod (so there would have to be a separate farm mod for each type of balancing).
I will see about making a walkable farm mod pack sometime and uploading it.

I took a quick look at Armenia and they do seem like an interesting civilization; thanks for the suggestion. They were probably overlooked in previous versions of the mod because Urartu and Pontus share a similar region and potential tech tree, and "Armenia" often refers to the modern country.
Armenia was probably not included in the original game because they are relatively new when compared to the civilizations in the game.

I suppose I could make a mod set with "only" the walkable farms. The issue would be that several mods would need to be made to accommodate for the balancing (RoR 1.0a, UPatch HD, etc).

1. Graphics from other games often don't match the style of AoE1 so its difficult to import those kinds of graphics without extensive editing. For gameplay purposes, its often beneficial to use the same graphics for units to help with easy identification of those units.
2. I will look into what can be done with architecture sets for those civilizations, but Phoenicia has issues with different interface sets.

I'm glad you enjoyed the mod.

If you are referring to the special music in the Expanded version campaigns, those are separate from the game's music, so adjusting the game settings will not affect them properly. You can stop the music by opening "Diplomacy" or "Menu" when the music starts.

Are you using an old version? That was an issue before, but the most recent version doesn't appear to have that problem.
If you keep searching the map, there is an alternate way to win if the main one doesn't work.

They should be playable in the Expanded version. I'm not sure if any problems would exist.

No, we don't have any plans for a remake of that degree. AoE2's engine also changes a lot of gameplay mechanics that are important for 5thLegacy's design (AoE1 and AoE2 are different games and require different engines to play properly).

There is a technology in the Town Center that enables them. Its effect is that it shows darkened techs in various buildings to show what techs/units can be acquired and their requirements.

Sheep can either be "hunted" or they can generate a passive income of gold. Most sheep will have to be told to go to a Storage Pit, Market, or Town Center before they can be "hunted".
Goats are used to gather from Hay, which can be bought at a Granary, and then they can be milked by Women or Villagers depending on the version you're playing.

we are aware of the bug and a few others. They will fixed in an upcoming patch. We're also working on fixing several scenarios that didn't receive the proper attention because of balance changes.

You can use the Hoyohoyo cheat to disable population limits, but it also changes priests.
You can't really get 400 population in Singleplayer, the maximum is 255 by changing the ini file.

Do you have both versions located in your "Mods" folder?
The default "5thLegacy" contains all of the AI files for both mods. If you play the Expanded version without the other version, the game won't be able to load the AI files and it could cause issues.

Are you able to start Age of Empires?
If you can start a match and the game immediately crashes, you should be able to fix the issue by unloading the mod and starting Upatch HD without any mods active. Then, you can reload the mod and it should resolve the issue.

You need to have Upatch HD or RockNRoR to use the mod. Upatch HD will make the mods folder in your Age of Empires folder. If you only use RockNRoR, you may have to make the mods folder and name it this: Mods
