Sorry, I had white text in the image that said "I'm back" but I didn't realize it would blend in with the website. I changed the image :D.
LOL, don't worry I will! I just didn't feel like making my own texture or searching the web for a good free one.
Nowadays what language you use really doesn't matter much for PC games, but I am using C# with the Unity game engine :D. I use C#/Java for all my projects. I stopped using C++ about a year ago and will never go back.
Thank you for the positive feedback! It's always great to hear!
Thanks for tracking! Yeah I definitely need to prepare before making them lol.
Yes Gmod is a major source of inspiration for this game :D.
Did you wait until nighttime? Zombies spawn. Other than that, yeah, it is pretty much just a sandbox at the moment. Keep in mind this game has been in development part time for only three weeks though.
Hahaha, I need easy access to a mac to make Mac builds along with Windows ones :(. Maybe I will make the game cost money to try to make $1000 for a Mac.
I had a skybox but I took it out because I am implementing a day/night system. So the background color changes based on the time of day!
Sounds good :D.
It is easier to create flat areas with the shovel now, but I WILL eventually add a terrain-smoothing tool.
I could make things snap to 0.1 or 0.5 or 1 unit if that would help out!
I know, and don't worry, there are lots of things I have in mind to improve the game!
LOL! Yeah he's good at digging :D. Thanks for the feedback!
I wasn't sure whether or not to have a scaling tool or just separate objects, so I just went with separate objects for now for two reasons: so you can't scale something ridiculously large, and so you can't buy a small cube for the same amount of resources as a large wall (of course resources aren't implemented yet). I could easily change it to a scaling system, though :D. Collision while placing objects is already planned, along with position/rotation snapping. I will implement plains/mountains/hills in the map generator, along with caves. Other than that I'm not quite sure yet.
I apologize for a Mac build not being available at this time. I do not have easy access to any Mac computers at this time. I clicked both PC and Mac when filling out the project details because I am planning on having Mac support later. My first news article on the game says there is no Mac support yet, though, so I haven't been trying to deceive people.
The terrain is already randomly generated, and infinite :D. Thanks for tracking!
Thanks for tracking! I will try to get builds for Macs as soon as I can. It's just a little hard because I don't have a Mac, or the money for one.
I think you will like what you see in the coming weeks :D.
Thank you so much for the positive feedback, and for your support! I really appreciate it!
Yes, Prelimse Studios is a one man operation, and yes there is lots of awesome stuff coming soon. Am I a super-advanced clone of Notch? Possibly :D.
Unfortunately, Unity does not support Linux. Sorry :(. Hopefully the Unity development team will add Linux support sometime soon.
Great idea! I will add that to my to do list. Position and rotation snapping is on the way (probably not in this upcoming update, though. I have other things I need to take care of first).
Don't worry, I have lots of cool ideas for the game to set it apart from Minecraft. It most likely won't be thought of as a clone of Minecraft later in development. Instead it will likely be thought of as a game that was inspired by Minecraft :D.
Okay, I can't find a clear solution anywhere on the internet. Try re-downloading/extracting it in a different location and see if the problem persists.
The game has worked on all the computers I have tested it on so far so it must be some problem with your computer.
I will investigate the error. Thanks for telling me about it! I built the game with Unity so you shouldn't be having this problem. Do you have problems running other games made with Unity3D?
