Is this something that can be played in singel players, or is this just for multiplayers game?

Playing Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion on steam. I would like to test this mod, but it want start. It send an error message to desktop, then the game want start. This happen when I click apply this mod in options. I cant say other mod did that. I did not use this mod with other mod while I tested it.
