That's very strange because game was written on clear MS Visual Studio without any plugins or etc. So basically it must work on every Windows with standart .NET drivers installed (everyone have them).
As possible solution - we released an iPad version of "Retention" and it's available for free at Apple AppStore. Maybe if you have an iPad device - you could play it there. Sorry for that strange Windows problems with original game :(

It seems resoultion fixed on 1280x720 in engine and there's no way to change it :( Sorry...

This is a pre-order for full version :) Alpha-version is just a first episode from complete game. Game in development right now.

If you still stuck on 99% download - try to delete game from the list and download again. Don't know why that happened, but I have same bug with some other games on Desura :) Usually that helps.

If you still have "Failed to launch item" error or you see STEAM launching - just run the game from .EXE file:

zema_real, I'm so sorry, but game resolution is fixed on 1280x800 and I don't know how to change it without changing all of graphical files we made. Anyway on yours laptop you mustn't lose any sensible part of picture, so you just could close eyes on couple of bottom pixels and play.

zema_real, which screen resolution is set on yours laptop?

freedomportal, there is 8 different endings in game and they could be various :) In one playthrough you'll receive only 4 of them. So you got 1'st good, 2'nd good, 3'rd bad and 4'th good endings.
Click on the buttons to see them all ;)
If you'll start playing again you could get other endings in final.

enriquem, sorry to say that but I'm not sure we could make such trailer, because game is not 3d and Fraps won't record any video from it.
