Agreed, finding the same problem with Scopes. Found a M14 DMR early on, but it's scope is completely offset, making it entirely useless.
Did you find a fix for this?

Edit: The issue is that the pack is designed for DX9. If you play on DX10 or DX11, you'll need the fix from the TAZ.

I've installed this over a fresh Misery 2.2.1 insallation, and everything seems to work fine, except one problem:
All Warsaw pact rifles only accept 1P29 scopes, nothing else.
And all NATO rifles only accept ACOG scopes, nothing else.

The other scopes, like PSO-1m are in-game, just not attachable to anything.
Is there something I can do to fix this?

Yeah, I figured as much. Still worth a shot writing the post.
Thanks for the reply!

Would it be possible to mod it so that it would accept the 1P59 "Giperion" scope? It says it's supposed to work with most Warsaw Pact Sniper Rifles, and specifically mentions the SVD in the description, but can't actually apply it.

I just want my adjustable, high magnification Lynx :)

My game is crashing whenever I attempt to upgrade the SVD Lynx from Nimble.
I can enter the upgrade menu, but as soon as I hover over the zoom level upgrade, the game crashes.
Which I suppose makes sense, since the SVD doesn't actually come with a build-in scope, but still rather annoying.
Any way to fix this, perhaps by tricking the game into thinking there actually is a scope mounted, or something like that?

I tried reloading a previous save, but same result.
Turns out, however, that all I had to do was talk to my companion (Snitch?)..

Thanks for the reply, however when I approach the Wish Granter, my options are to wish for X, Y or Z, or "say nothing". Saying nothing doesn't do anything.
The only way I seem to be able to complete the quest is by picking one of the wish options.

Of course, I could just ignore the quest, but I'd quite like to complete it, so it won't show up in my quest log anymore.

Maybe I'm confused. I'm on the quest "Mortal Sin: Choice. Whether you want to use the Wish Granter is your choice".

I don't want to use the Wish Granter. How do I complete the quest then?

No add-ons used at all.

My game suddenly start crashing when I approach the Bar in Rostok.

If I enter from Army Warehouses, it crashes before I can enter the level.
If I enter from Garbage, I can load into the level, but as I approach the base, the game will crash with the following log:

---------------------------
Fatal Error
---------------------------
Expression :

Function : invalid_parameter_handler

File : xrDebugNew.cpp

Line : 995

Description : invalid parameter

stack trace:

Press OK to abort execution

---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Shortly before the crash, I noticed these error messages in the in-game console:

[Lua] CWeaponMagazined : Can't access class member Weapon_AddonAttatch!
Can't find texture wpn_crosshair_susat_moist

Given that I've played around 40 days in-game, been to Rostok many times without issue, and that the crash only happens when I approach the Bar, I'm guessing it's related to a NPC that's somehow bugged out, or got some incorrect inventory.

Are there anything I can do to help fix this issue?

It spawns as soon as you accept the quest, and may start to wander about, or random stalker teams might come by and kill it.

Your best bet is to bee-line there as soon as you accept the quest

There's a "Weather Options" On the main menu where you can modify everything from sunny/rainy to how often the emissions happen.

It's great to see you do work here!
Have you had any contact with Seda? Maybe you could work together to improve the main game instead of "just" add-ons?
You both have had some amazing ideas and work that have helped develop the stalker scene, but have perhaps struggled a bit with time available?

On the other hand, I can see how two such strong modders might have conflicting ideas, so maybe add-ons would be the better way to do it.

I'm not sure what causes this. I've had the same issue before. There's no issue with the cats for me, running the latest version on DX 11 though.

Click the button just above your health bar, on the line that displays item condition.

Have you noticed crashing at any specific point?
For me the dismantling of weapons/armour is fairly unstable and will randomly crash, so I always save before attempting that.
I haven't noticed any issues outside that though.

It has nothing to do with a stash.
Most likely reason is that sometimes during a firefight, you missed a shot, and it landed near him, which he then took as an attack and turned hostile to you.

A potential issue I've noticed:
Whenever you are wearing a suit of another faction than your own, you cannot get jobs from NPC's, even if the suit is of their own faction.

Example: As a Loner, I looted a Clear Sky armour, but even when talking to other Clear Sky members they don't offer jobs. Other dialogue options are still there. If I take of the Clear Sky suit, and approach them naked, they'll give me jobs again.

I suspect this means I'm limited to only using loner/non-faction specific armour, which is a bit sad.

RttN is already on the easy side - sometimes too easy.
I hope Roy doesn't waste development time on making things even easier.
Maybe someone (you perhaps, since you're asking for it?) could make a submod that does what you want?

Really? Sorry for spreading wrong information then.
I thought you were in contact with the TAZ team and working with them on a port.

This post by the TAZ devs also seemed to confirm that a RTTN port was in the work: Moddb.com

For now. It's being ported to RTTN.

It's a combination of two things. (You'll probably have to unpack the .db files to access these files).

Firstly in your gamedata\configs\creatures\actor.ltx you'll find the line "body_remove_time" which determines when bodies will start to get removed.

There's also the appdata\user.ltx file which has the line "g_corpsenum" which determines how many corpses can exist at any given time. Any number above that, and the first corpses will start to get removed, regardless of the remove timer.

Create a shortcut to the Exe, and add -dbg to the destination path.
IE: "C:\Games\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Road To The North\Stalker-RTTN.exe" -dbg

From Facebook:

"Remember "black road" from Misery mod? I'm adding a similar alternative start mode to RTTN called Dark Road ;). It's not for everyone, as you will start the game with even less items, the ultimate start for hardcore players."

They have very thick skulls - headshots will do very little. Shoot them in the butt and they'll go down quite easily.

It spawns near the train tunnel, but unless you head straight there, it can wander around and even get killed by other stalkers.

You'll encounter other bears elsewhere and their parts will suffice just fine to finish the quest.
