There's always 1 in every crowd...unfortunately I've grown to expect more creativity from such a post and have to admint I'm rather disappointed with this one :).

In all honesty Aron, if every mod team sat on their haunches trying to come up with an original theme (and by theme I DONT mean ideas and innovations) the lack of updated game content available to the community would be truly staggering. Quite frankly, I can't think of a single theme which has not been swept up by a mod team or mainstream game developer; however they all continue to put out high-quality products (with mod teams being free of charge) for others to enjoy.

If you prefer PVK then by all means continue to play it and ignore this one, I won't lose any sleep over it. However I'm sure everyone who is interested, and looking forward to, this mmod would agree your comments would be better left to yourself.

Thank you for the kind words, with some of the aspects we've come up with recently I have to admit I get more engaged every day working through this modification. I'm typically quiet on here and pretty much stick to working on coding and discussing things with the remainder of the team, but I'll do my best to drop by with updates whenever I have something to put forward :).

Unfortunately there's only so many types of "pirates" you can come up with while still trying to remain true to their history :). As for those that have been discussing weapons they are currently implemented at a code level to mimic their real-life counterparts as closely as possible and I've done a good amount of reading to date on the different types of weapons they had available at their disposal.

All in all, from a development point of view I'm making steady progress; however we are still in need of a weapons modeler and character modeler to really get things moving forward. In the meantime I'll keep hacking away at the SDK in hopes when they are available we can plug them in and get rolling :).

While there aren't any shots up of it yet, I have completed the team/class selection menu and provided a shot of the working prototype to Skulburn. We're primarily waiting on at least a single player model before posting so the menu is complete in full rather than a gap currently where the player's model will show when their class is selected.

As for the HUD, I know Skulburn is working on concept shots that I can build off of so that and the scoreboard are next on my agenda once I work out some quirks with the HL2DM player class and team selections specific to our game :).

Quick question, to contact the team concerning open positions with questions, etc. how would you prefer this be accomplished? I don't see a mention of contact information beyond the Contact link via ModDB message but I'd like to be certain this is the preferred method to use.
