If you were able to activate GLA anyway, they would be destroyed by any Chinese, Russian, or USA force in the game. They currently have no AI as it has to be re-coded, and the units they have would not stand a chance against anything the other factions in the game have.

I'm 19 and I am playing Soul Silver right now. Pokemon is still a big thing amongst kids. When I was queueing to buy Soul Silver there were young kids buying it looking forward to discovering Johto, as they missed it the first time around. There were also plenty of young adults and teenagers in the queue buying the game because of the nostalgia factor, or the fanboys and fangirls within them. Pokemon is not dead even now, there is still a plentiful fanbase, and I'm sure an MMO based on the original Red/Blue/Green can't do too much harm either, in fact I think it would have done rather well.

it's a shame to see it end here, and I can only hope that NullSoldier, or another talented developer picks this up sometime in the future.

Still alive, I'm gonna push Nem into an update for you guys, he seems to have forgotten about the public entirely.

We do not have many buildings fully modeled, rigged and skinned yet either. We have yet to complete ECA before coding the faction in, and after that will have to begin some sort of campaign with them involved, before ECA is released, GLA also does not have it's entire arsenal completed.

That's a different version of when you are using a map that you dont have, or that the TGA hasn't loaded correctly.
You only get it with custom maps, although in beta stages, we wad a problem with one or two official maps that had the no signal image. it may be possible that one of them slipped under the radar.

Things change my friend. Lets not say anything about a lack of campaign just yet. I cant divulge anything, and I can't confirm that there will be any campaign happening, but just think about what my position on the team is here and figure something out for yourself :P

Or, you can wait until one of the big bosses up top tells you what we are going to be doing about in game storylines sometime in the distant future, but a little speculation never hurt anyone. :P

As nice as that looks, its a little too cloudy it almost impairs the vision over the battlefield. On the plus side I like how much the quality of this mod has been improved since I last played it.
I must say the version I played on a while ago was a little... bland, at best, but the new water and the Ion cannon particles in particular look beautiful in your screenshots.

I'll go find it on my old computer one day, if it still exists, if not there are only two other people that have the finished copy, and they may have got rid of it too. :(

No need nergi, I checked the map, AI works fine and continually attacks me. And does a very good job. I'm not sure why it plays up for him.

Its simple, the reason that 1.5 lacks GLA and ECA is that they simply are not ready yet.
Why you cannot come to terms with it is beyond me. I was part of the beta team well before 1.0, and I remember in the run up, and during the release, no such promise was made as to when GLA or ECA were coming. Perhaps speculation and wishful thinking amongst fans led to people believing it to be true. Regardless, there is no point complaining now, because no matter how much complaining you do, you will not get your hands on GLA or ECA.

The way SWR works with releases is that we have no long term agendas, and no set release dates, it's always been this way so as to avoid people bieng let down, and to avoid demanding fans asking for the promised release to be handed over. That's always been a rule that SWR abide by, and I cant see why GLA or ECA would be promised in any specific release.

Its more than likely down to the map you were playing. I have not encountered any AI issues like that in the medium AI before, on RotR
By the sounds of it though, it's probably just poor pathfinding on the map, the AI does not know what to do and thus stops doing anything at all.
If it persists on other maps, I'll take a look myself and see whether I get the same issues.

When doing this, please make sure it is a clean copy that you duplicate, with no mods installed. And when installing multiple mods at the same time with this method (It can be done), then you should always keep a backup version of the clean folder safe, for you to copy when installing other mods that don't run by launchers.
This will take up a lot of space, but is a good safety measure to avoid having to re-install.
