This will be a very short Blog post.

I've been working on my own entirely CGI Half-Life fan movie, and have decided to begin posting semi-regular updates, including concept art and models.

I'm counting this post as the first update, so here is my security guard concept. I hope you like it.

I will be spacing my updates out, so I can maintain them right up until my fan film comes out.

I sincerely hope this isn't breaking any rules, and I apologise if it is, I'm only trying to help: A voice actor named Jerry Gelb urgently needs donations for his spinal surgery.

So it seems the last six years of my life have been wasted because of my own actions leading up to Black Mesa's release. I gave an inappropriate amount of information to a Russian fan, and because of this my name had been stricken from the credits and I have lost what few friends I had on the team. At the time this happened I didn't know the reason since they wouldn't talk to me, but now I'm fairly sure this is why.

Black Mesa has been in development for quite some time now, so it’s hardly surprising that some people are constantly suggesting we’ve died. As you can imagine, it is at times very annoying, even disheartening. Never the less, It’s almost become a pythonesque running joke for us, and I’ve decided to put this situation into a form we can all laugh at.

Fan: Is this mod dead?
Troll: Yep, died ages ago!
Fan: Pity.
BM: We’re not dead!
Fan: What?
Troll: Nothing. Here’re some other mods.
BM: We’re not dead!
Fan: 'Ere. They say they’re not dead!
Troll: Yes, they are.
BM: We’re not!
Fan: They aren't?
Troll: Well, they will be soon. They’re very lazy.
BM: We’re getting better!
Troll: No, you're not. You'll be stone dead in a moment.
Fan: Oh, I can't leave them then. It’d be premature.
BM: We don't want to loose another fan!
Troll: Oh, don't be such babies.
Fan: I can't leave them.
BM: We’re doing fine!
Troll: Well, can you hang around a couple of minutes? They won't be long.
Fan: No, I've got to check BS and OP4. They've lost nine today.
Troll: Well, when’re you next online?
Fan: Thursday.
BM: We’re making fantastic progress!
Troll: You're not fooling anyone, you know. Look. They haven‘t released any updates in months.
BM: Check the Devblog. !BANG!
Troll: Ah, thanks very much.
Fan: Not at all. See you on Thursday.
