Seems odd, first we have heard of anything like this. It must be a false positive. What application is blocking the download? Does it block it before the download starts or after it completes?

If 2.1.1 isn't on desura then you will have to install it manually from outside of desura.

Close steam and delete "clientregistry.blob" which is in the steam folder, For example "c:\program files\steam". Restart steam and you can play.

The Battlegrounds 1 was an awesome mod. But if you do make sure you get the 1.2.1 version Moddb.com

It requires a purchased game that comes with the source sdk. The cheapest one is HL2: deathmatch. There's a list here: Store.steampowered.com
