I'm pretty sure he and other mod creators just update something very little on the page just so it get's on top of ModDB hl2 mods list. I don't see any reason to do this. If your mod is not getting attention, you shouldn't forcefully push it out.

You don't need the skybox to be a big box, you could seal the map using it instead. But for early testing, it's ok though.
