Excited to see this, love your work and style of your mods. Thank you!

Someone needs to inspire and unleash you on Brytenwalda or a Viking Conquest rework next, I can't even imagine what you could do with them

Just dropping a line to say thanks for all the hard work and looking forward to 1.5!

Again, I think it was a great idea for you two to merge your mods, I dabble in modding Warband and VC for myself and have helped in very small ways for a few mods out there, and I can testify that there is so much work that goes into even a seemingly "simple" mod. So to add this whole living breathing Ancient world, characters, dialogue, items, prices, balancing, scenes galore and now all the new features and siege mechanics... Very impressive and I thank you for all the work.

Just please don't bite off too much so that it takes so much time or energy that it never gets released or can't be polished due to enormous content.

I personally would rather start a new game a few times due to updates than to wait forever and never get to see your awesome work (*cough* Bannerlord, hehe)

And I'm sure you have a ton of faithful followers who would be more than happy to constructively test and search for bugs to help in your polishing endeavors when you reach that point.

Again, no rush, your work is appreciated and we thank you for it!

Absolutely stunning work, thank you! What a great idea to team up together and use all your talents in one project.

This is just a tiny request, feel free to ignore of shoot it down, haha: Seeing the amazing detail of these models, is there anyway to also make some 'worn' 'aged' or 'slightly damaged' variations as well?

I'm envisioning some battle worn or stained armor and shields, some slightly pitted or battle worn blades.

Maybe it's just my preference, but I would love to have some well worn items in addition to the beautiful ones. Would add some additional depth and options.

Thanks again! 1.5 is going to be insane

This is awesome, thank you so much! And thanks for the early release too, a chance to play around and enjoy it, and also hopefully we can all help you with bug reporting and such in the very least.

Again, thanks so much!

I would personally say if you don't already have this awesome mod, go ahead and wait an extra day or two because I'm almost sure it will not be save game compatible and I believe there's a significant amount of changes coming.

It will be well worth the wait. Unless you just want to get a quick feel for it and are ok with starting fresh tonight or tomorrow, the current version is very good, too, but there's a lot more coming!

Very nice, keep up the good work!

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the sheer quantity of scenes and scripts you're singlehandedly putting together :p

I've been having fun making some minor contributions to "The Sword and the Axe" and it's crazy how quickly what you think will be a quick job turns into a very in depth and time consuming one... So your progress to date is astounding, especially considering the size of your project.

Keep it up, we are looking forward to soaking up the environment you are creating!

That's great to hear, progress is always a good thing! I would be very happy to assist in my way that I can, just say the word on how or what. I unfortunately have zero scening or mapping experience, I can do text editing (items, factions, etc. and simple Python) and dialogue, and have an incredibly annoying eye for detail and research, haha.

If you end up needing a slow playing, detail oriented tester when the time comes, I'd be happy to, or if you need anything else within my abilities between now and then just let me know.

Otherwise, I'll also happily just cheer you on and follow your progress from here ;)

Hello! Just dropping in to show support. Hope your testing and polishing has been going well.
Please don't get discouraged if you do run into some frustrating bugs or have trouble tracking down an error. You are putting together a very ambitious mod with a lot of code all working together; you are bound to have a few unexpected conflicts pop up.

We are all excited to see your work and wish you the best in your efforts. Most importantly, have fun!

Look forward to your next update.

Hey, just popping in to wish you the best and cheer you on some! Whenever you happen to get a chance, could you tell me what you used for your map?

I've been working around with my mod for VC based around the start of the so called Viking age, circa 796AD with the death of Offa and the brief stint of confusion that followed... But I see more and more why a lot of people steer away from VC as a base, the character modeling and whatnot are making me waste incredible amounts of time adapting things to work with it, I'm considering going back to maybe Brytenwalda as a base. But I like that VC's map and scenes are so close to the period I want.

Regardless I think I want to expand a bit more into Frankia (and have a little Charlemagne in there eventually) and I believe that's what you also have done... Mind if I ask what you used (for map and scenes) and how I might be able to do the same? I was hoping to avoid remapping and doing scenes on my first go around, but if I can't bring VC to heel I made need to.

Again, best wishes on your hard work!

I'm really excited to see what all this scripts look like together in one game, especially your family tree script.

Or just roll with it and make a King Arthur mod full of tiny people. Can't get any more unique than that... :p

I just received my last round of permissions from some awesome mod creators to attempt a small enhanced submod of my own and that's my biggest concern; wanting to combine all of these amazing scripting options but knowing there's probably a ton of bug fixing ahead of me, ha

Thanks for the new blog! I think it's safe to say you have a huge support group intently following your progress and wishing you the best.

Stupid money. There is so much I could accomplish if I didn't have to work and was just independently wealthy... But such is life. Thank you for taking the time out of your bust schedule to keep us all up to date.

Take your time, you are already pounding this mod out incredibly fast, and adding that many scripts and ensuring they don't conflict is a huge undertaking. You're bound to hit a few snags here and there with seemingly large bugs and time spent hunting down an errant script is just part of the process.

I think this mod is going to be totally worth the time and effort, it is an awesome concept and from what I can see, it is well thought out and being executed very efficiently.

Keep up the incredible work and thank you!

Just popping in to share a small suggestion if you are interested: I came across an interesting animation mod designed for the 1257AD mod and tried it out the other day. Some of the animations are very good, some tend to have some clipping and other minor issues.

I have not fully explored the files yet, but the download comes with a modified actions.txt from 1257, the .brf files and an easy copy/paste to add into the module.ini

On the forum he said people are welcome to try to utilize some of them into other modules if they want. I'm probably going to try to dissect them and try sticking them in a few other modules.

You may already have all that under control, but some of the blocking, idle and combat animations are quite good, maybe you would want to incorporate them as you see fit.

Sorry, I did not make them, just stumbled across them and am passing it on if you are interested!

Here is the link to the forum. His download link is right at the end. I tested it using the repolished 1257 submod from HooTmAn.

Wow, thanks for the new blog, I cannot wait to see the results of your work. It seems you are taking all of the best scripts and features of every other mod and putting them finally all together, and then ADDING some of the best original script ideas into what is looking like the best mod for Warband to date.

I personally prefer full realism to fantasy, but this time period contained so much myth and superstition and passed down sagas and stories that to see some light features of that along with all of the realism you are implementing sounds like an awesome combination.

Thank you thank you thank you! Looking forward to the next blog update.

Awesome, thanks! I personally love weapon breaking, it forces me to carry and actually use a back up seax, especially early in the game. I don't know if I'd call it 'fun' when it happened haha, but it keeps me on my toes and changes a battle very quickly. Then I'm left either with a spare to finish off my opponent or need to quickly grab whatever I can off the ground and make do. Or I win a small battle but at a cost of a good weapon, made me think twice before just attacking everything that moved...

I also love the script that lets you keep whatever weapon(s) you've picked up during a battle. Together it makes certain mods really fun for me. Steel back then was highly unreliable, so I go into battle not knowing if I'll keep the weapon I have or maybe get lucky and loot a much better one off a fallen foe.

Maybe some of the realism/difficulty scripts could be toggled on and off in the camp menu?

Can't wait to see the result of all your awesome ideas and hard work, thanks again!

Thank you for the development updates! This is an awesome concept and I'm really looking forward to more. Along the line of some of the immersive features and scripting you are doing, can there be immersive injuries and length of healing time? I like that VC and some other mods have injuries that affect stats and require healing. Also, I really like that Brytenwalda and VC have the ability to talk to a blacksmith to make weapons and armor... could you implement something similar to add to the immersion and realism by having you need to actually 'talk to' and 'order' more weapons and armor instead of just having all options available in store?

For example, many swords and metal armor of the time would be made on demand for a warrior, was not cheap and took time. And that would potentially be passed down from generation to generation. That would be awesome to have a taste of that, it would make swords and heavier armor more rare and rewarding to finally acquire.

Thank you so much for your work!

Well the screen shots look very good, I was just curious because that would've had a lot of scripting and dark age stuff already done for you if you wanted it. I unfortunately know next to nothing about modding but have recently began to take a more serious interest in it, mainly because between brytenwalda, 1257ad, the sword and the axe and the blood eagle mod for VC have basically everything I want in a mod, but not all together, haha, so I'm trying to teach myself enough to try to combine some of the best features of them together into one dark age mod for myself.

Any rate, I wish you the best on your endeavors and thank you for sharing your work, I am looking forward to seeing how it all turns out.

Is Brytenwalda the base for this mod?

As far as some dark age armor and weapons go, check out "The Sword and the Axe" mod, the creator of that has some really good weapons, armor and animations, and he is very helpful, perhaps you would be able to use some of them or receive some inspiration.

Thanks again, looking forward to seeing more!

Hello! I do not send this to ask you when the update is to to try to rush it's release. I was wondering if you could possibly upload a few pictures or some other sneak peaks for all of us? I thoroughly enjoy 3.0 and try to keep up with comments here and on the taleworlds forum, but I personally would really enjoy seeing some of what's to come if you didn't mind sharing a few more screenshots.

If not, it's all good, but I just wanted to ask if you didn't mind. Thanks again for an awesome mod!

As far as the weapon goes, your strength may not be high enough. I believe the same is to be said for the horses, perhaps your riding skill is not high enough to accommodate a horse. I forget, it's been awhile since I played that mission, but I do recall if I started that mission too early in the game I would be lacking the skills needed for the equipment.

So I do not believe that is a bug, I believe you need to hold off on that quest until your skills are higher.

Hope that helps!

Is it possible to implement some features from either Brytenwalda or Viking Conquest? Such as tournaments and scenes? Maybe that could save you a lot of work inventing them from scratch, you would only need to make adjustments as needed.

Thanks again for all your work!

Very cool mod, thanks for sharing! I'm sorry I'm a new supporter, recently started playing warband again and saw your mod pop up with the most recent update. One of my favorites.

Not sure if you are interested or if it would be possible, but might I suggest you and the creator of the Blood Eagle mod on Nexusmods share some of each other's work and ideas?

Your two mods are the two that I play, and I think each would benefit from combining some of each other's textures, animations and items and make both of your mods even better!

There was a tweet from the creator of the mod just a couple of weeks ago that said 3.1 was nearing completion. New versions of this mod seem to take a while each time but usually have very significant changes and bug fixes when they are released.

Hope that helps.

Then don't play or monitor his mod. Or better yet, go make your own that's superior to his that he makes available for free for others to enjoy. Then you can have the freedom of speech to talk all the crap about him you want on your site.

Some of you take 'looking a gift horse in the mouth' to a whole new level.

Bannerlord goes months on end without a single update or hint of release, and we've all been waiting on that for a long time now and will probably pay whatever price they put on it when it is finally released. Give a man who's voluntarily making a mod and has the decency to share his work with us a little slack.

Or at least use decent language and decorum on a public forum, please.

Very awesome, thank you. Really looking forward to the next installment. 1.41 is already extremely enjoyable.

May I ask a question: Will it be possible (or is it already possible) to have the AI use more advanced formations such holding their fire to keep tight formations as they advance? I can do that with my units, but my allies are often spread out and disorganized in their advances due to firing at will.

Thank you for an awesome and historically accurate mod.

Great idea! That would be an awesome addition to an already awesome mod. Cozur, you have made so many immersive and major changes to the original warband that this feels like a whole new game. It would be amazing if you gave the tournament system an overhaul, too.

If you choose not to do this Cozur, we understand. Your current adjustments to tournaments are very good. But I think that has a ton of immersive potential if you wanted to rework the whole tournament system (wagers, participants, tiers, etc.)...

Now that I'm done pipe dreaming, I'm going to play some of this awesome mod.

I agree completely, thanks for all your hard work and for releasing your work so early in production!

I would take an early alpha with bugs over a year or more of waiting any day.

Please know that the vast majority of us are very appreciative of your work and our bug reporting and so forth is just our attempts to helpful and bringing things to your attention.

I honestly haven't been reporting any because it looks like most of the major ones have already been reported. Each patch will no doubt correct them as they are found.
